Ended up paying 2k over msrp but It was a deal someone else backed out from and I only waited 3 weeks for the car and cancelled my build for msrp. One in the hand is worth two in the bush

Ordered mine @ MSRP. It took going to and calling a few dealerships which ranged anywhere from $25k ADM! to $5k ADM on a new order. I just said no and moved on to another dealer and found a couple that would order for MSRP.

I suspect that the Canadian market is going really soft due to the higher interest rates as well as a tighter necessary credit profile. Banks have become extra strict with their lending as the majority of mortgage rates have also gone up due to the 3-5yr adjustable variability. Also BMO (Canada's third largest bank) just got out of the auto lending business completely.

My dealer doesn't charge ADM....they'll just sell your allocation to someone else if they think they can increase their profit margin through financing of lease.

A bit less availability than 1 to 2 per dealer. There are 29 cars available at the moment across the 50 dealers in Canada. The West is particularly deficient in stock with 5 cars available (1x HEA and 2x 2024 cars) over 15 dealers.

Speaking of, I won't have the title in the timeframe my dealer wants me to pick up the 2024 M2 info here for those interested. My agreement is/was MSRP https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2049224 |

If you are taling about BMW's online search for inventory... it not even close to being acurate. My local dealer has a BSM G87 thats been on the lot for weeks and it doesn't show up online anywhere. BMW says there are 14 cars for 12 dealers in Quebec, but I know of a few extra cars just around me that don't show up. Plus incoming cars. They should send some out west!

Off topic. Just listed my 2 week old 2024. Chance to buy one for less than MSRP that's practically new, now.

As much as I wanted a Type R I would have passed and waited had I received any update on my M2 order. It was sitting Ready for Transport since 9-1 and switched to In Transit after the dealer told me this morning. Love the type R so far, definitely worth it if you're getting at MSRP

I’ve found the BMW.ca inventory to be pretty accurate in the past. A dealer not having a car on there would be pretty stupid in significantly reducing their online presence for selling that vehicle. There is only 1 new or used G87 available in Calgary, with the 2 dealers here having delivered over 20 so far. |

This is a bit of a technicality, but if you are getting a vet or college grad rebate then you are still essentially at MSRP. I'm only pointing this out because it isn't a dealer discount.
This is only important because I don't want the average person to think that all of these dealerships are offering a 500 or 1,000 discount so all you have to do is ask for it. The dealership is giving up nothing. They aren't doing it because they love vets or college grads. They get the money back from BMW NA so there is zero reason not to. The dealerships are getting their full profit. That being said, I have already had members here say their dealers told them there was no vet discount. If a dealer says that then that CA is just misinformed. Message me and I'll try to help you through it. Edit: this is for the US market only. |

Don’t pay the markup. Because there are no markups on the used market. I payed MSRP 72k and thought it was a deal… including ceramic coating … car has a nine hundred miles on it (hardly driven… just enough to keep fresh gas in it every month) and I’m only being offered 60k private …not trade. Loaded carbon fiber z blue automatic no different than new. Everyone wants Kia prices… better off getting EV and 7500 off rebate. If you want a 2024 on the lot here there’s 10 k markup on it to start … that’s right now January 2024. Bring it back next day to trade… 10k below msrp. Go figure….
