Stop Sale for Front Left Strut Tower

It sounds as though this is mounting up to be a giant $h!T show.

My car was built on May 31st - week 22. M240iX with ZTK. When it arrived in Oxnard it was flagged Stop Sale, it is sitting at the VDC.

If all of use can post the week/date and model of production of our Stop Sale, it would be interesting to see how wide spread this is. And then if others would post week/date and model of production that DO NOT have a Stop Sale.
Of course this will not help our situation but would be interesting.

My car has been stuck in Quality Check since June 9th and both BMW Genius and my CA can't give me more information on why. My CA says it could be that they are waiting on a "small part" but didn't mention a stop sale or recall on the car.

Is there another way to confirm if it's related to the left strut tower?

I cruised through quality check in less than a day (I have the wireless charger option). In quality check yesterday, in final assembly today.

No. The factory will not share any information on why it is stuck in quality control only that it is waiting on a part(s).

Just because a car seems stuck doesn't automatically mean there is a stop sale on it. Sometimes it's as simple as them being out of certain parts; they aren't going to stop the assembly line for that. They produce the car and then put them aside until said parts are back in stock.

The quickest anyone has made it through 160 to 182/190 is 13 days per my spreadsheet. I'm at day 10 and getting antsy. The ship schedule is a big factor, I'm sure.

No buckets. Just carbon roof and interior. I have the wireless charger and there is suspicion that is causing delays.

I removed the wireless charger from my build for this reason among others. But then I believe M_Power Rob said his was moving along even with the wireless charger included so it may or may not be related.

I will admit its not a fast charge but on my 23 M240, the phone does not get hot.

I talked to Sales at the dealer including the sales manager. I was told that he should be receiving more info today and no later than Friday. He also said that every car that is in Stop Sale might not have an issue. He explained that each car is being inspected for this issue by first arrival and customer orders first.
I said, it should be a few more weeks then, I got this "OH NO, not that long, just a few more days".
Well, it was a good thing I wore my boots.
It is what it is. We shall see what happens in the next few weeks.

Mine finally moved from Final Assembly (May30-July1) to Ready for Transport. Got a call from the SA today, that it's been cleared from the Stop Sale, fingers crossed it now only waiting for a ship.

I believe final assembly is when the body is married with the drivetrain, engine, axles and exhaust. So if the strut tower is defective then your car will sit until a good part is received. Stop Sale might be used after a car is assembled. Just assuming.

The marriage happens early on in the assembly process.
