But they don’t make an OEM solution, what do they have to gain from this? Service bills?

Curious

As long as we're looking at the front grille, noticed this while waxing. One of the front "struts: has a cutout on the inside, but not the other. Any guesses as to why?

Mount for active cruise sensor is my guess.

Ahh, yes - maybe where wiring enters the unit.

Mine has the dynamic cruise control or whatever it’s called sensor. I wonder how that might help block stuff.

I wish Mishimoto would also get on this like the M4. https://www.mishimoto.com/performanc...3-m4-2021.html

Zipties is a terrible mounting strategy.

the guards fit on top of the radiator surface, shouldn't these fit G87's if they fit G8X M3/M4?

These attach to Mishimoto's auxiliary radiators. Theoretically it would also fit the M2, but not to the OEM radiators. The OEM radiators have a plastic cover that clips on. There are no mounting holes on the OEM radiators to mount these guards.

I have already lost one radiator that ate a rock. The plastic OEM guard is flimsy and bends with no effort. A rock will go right through the guard. I will mostly likely purchase the Mishimoto auxiliary radiators and the guards.

I will do this for the center but you still need an auxiliary solution.

I ordered this- I’m really hoping someone before me orders a second one and documents that 1 more is enough to cut and fill the other two gaping holes

This is a great idea if it actually fits.
I have no issues cutting 1 large picee into 2 to fit the side openings

I bought it, but I don't like it. I have the MT so I am still debating about whether I actually install them.

I have them here in Germany. My dealer is more than happy to see this. They have multiple cars a year with failures. Its a sound product, easily installed and is hard to see up close for the most part. There are other options that mount closer to the radiators etc.

Why have impacts that close. Zunsport deflects further away and they are strong. Good luck but plenty of owners here have the Zunsport. Pic attached. Less than a meter away. I did not install the brake duct screens. No need. Those brakes need cooling. They are not so vulnerable at all.

I've already got the zunsport but those don't look bad. Got any pictures? And do they actually mount to anything or are they like the other ones that you have to zip tie?
