All it's doing is pulling in fresh air and blowing it out the other end. It's not like you're pulling in air close to the ground. It's no different than driving on the expressway.

If your floor is dirty or doing it on a gravel driveway, just be careful not to aim too far down towards the ground or just keep aiming upwards, like blowing from the bottom of the door upwards and it "should" keep the dirt from blowing or clean the garage floor before hand if your concerned

You wash your car in the garage? Also, dont need tonuse an Echo gas powered commercial leaf blower. It is also good for the inside of the car (the seats) and then vacuum the floors. |

If your car is coated a blower of some sort is the way I prefer to dry the car. Water just falls off at that point! After I coat them, very rarely will a towel ever touch the paint again. Although even after using the blower I will tuck a towel into the door corner to catch the constant drips for a bit. I use a BigBoi brand blower and it works great.

So since I wrapped my whole car with PPF, my detailer gave me a spray that he said I can literally use in my garage. Just spray and wipe away. I need to look into it further, but that might be what I do instead of a car wash.

PPF can still be scratched so be cautious of just "spray detailing" it. I would still wash it to a degree but yes, assuming you want to freshen it up and there is no sand or grit that will scratch it, you could use a aoray like Adam's Detail Spray (my go to). |

Awesome, thank you! Yeah, I definitely plan to use it sparingly, but I'll check out that product.

The DIY car wash bays near me use hot water on some of its settings. I’ve only done the high pressure rinse and soap, then hand dried it and sometimes apply a spray shine product if I have time and if you look up close I’m already seeing small scratches 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm the only person I trust to wash my cars....and NEVER the dealer that very kindly warns their customers that scratches may (Will) result from their cash washing efforts.
That being said, there's nothing more painful than sticking your hand into a bucket of cold soapy water on a frigid Canadian winter day. That all changed when I picked up this soap canon. No more buckets for me, and I now wash my car in half the time. Drying is a high-speed run down the motorway...followed by a towel-down. Oh, and I make sure I get my brakes good and hot otherwise the rear pads fuse to the rotor. https://www.amazon.ca/Foam-King-Delu...f-fa04f1ca0da8 |

Sometimes I will use a Chemical Guys product for extra shine and smoothness but it’s all done by hand. |

That makes complete sense. I’m in NJ and it’s been cold so I haven’t really been able to use a bucket and clean it that way. There is a hand wash place 5 mins from me that I guess I should try but who knows if they dropped the rag on the ground or the water is dirty. I also have a drive thru car wash that is in a very rich area and I always see $100k+ cars going thru it. They do a great job outside and inside so I’ve been thinking of just biting the bullet and going there like I used to. It’s not a Ferrari but she’s my baby! It’s like when you get a new cell phone, after the first time you drop it you start worrying less about it getting scratched. |

Anyone else have the Griot’s garage Foaming Cannon or their three and one ceramic wash? I just reloaded on a ton of their products and the microfiber wash kit on the pole is excellent after hitting it with the foan cannon. I’ve seen water beading up in my driveway after rinsing it off So it definitely has some surfactants in it/SIO2

Never use a drive thru car wash unless it's touchless, but even then, beware. Some touchless car washes have rails to guide the car into the bay which could scratch your wheels. Touchless washes are good for knocking off some surface debris but you're not going to really get the paint clean unless there's some type of agitation such as using a wash mitt. Sounds like you don't have the means to a rinseless wash so your options are limited. I'd say just take it to a hand car wash in that case. |

For those that "can't bucket wash" in the winter.
I fill a bucket in my utility sink with warm water and use a product such as: Optum No Rinse P&S Absolute With a sponge designed for the application such as the ABSOLUTE sponge. You can do it in the garage our outside Not for heavily soiled, I will pressure wash to get any significant dirt off first then take home and hand wash as above. A lot of rules to the techniques but much, much safer for your paint.
