I basically daily any car i buy. Life's too short to only drive the fun car on weekends. My last few dailies over the last 7 years was, Porsche GT4, Toyota Supra, F87 M2 Competition, 2005 Honda S2000.
This M2 when i get it will also be my daily and i cant wait. |

But barring bad weather I alternated between the two cars I owned: Boxster, Golf TDi, 2006 GTO, 2008 Cayman S (for 4 weeks...), Porsche Turbo, Challenger Scat Pack, JCW, Challenger Hellcat. It was a bit painful to drive the Hellcat though. With the same usage as the JCW the Hellcat could only muster 15mpg compared to the JCW's 30mpg average. |

Daily. I commute to a corporate office two days a week and the airport other days for business travel. It’s a great car and the different driving modes with comfort, M1 & M2 are incredible for different ways enjoying the car on the 40-50 mile daily commutes. I chose the 6 speed manual but don’t hit the parking lot freeways to much.

I daily a 480whp Accord. My M2 will enter production mid January. However it will be the weekend car and when it's not raining. 80K USD spec. It will be a struggle to put miles on it since I have nowhere to go on the weekends.

+1 who would not daily such capability as it is a good daily to begin with. It is my daily. Wet, cold, warm etc. "Its a car you drive it!" I borrow that quote from a nice man I knew when I lived around Stuttgart. He had a new GT3-RS 4.0 when they were released. Id see him in the rain, the snow, the dirty roads no matter. I saw him in the square at a cafe and he recognized me from the area/ town we lived in. I asked him what he was doing lol. SO many parked those and preserved them/ quick resale etc. He said Its a car - you drive it. A truth enthusiast and he is a touch older than me. Thats the life! I will add, I'm in Texas so I'm able to drive year round. For work, I put thousands of miles on my daily driving from home to average 4hrs away (even 8hrs a couple times) and back the same day. This is why I could never daily the M2. I mentioned the price of my spec because it's the first expensive car and BMW for me. And if this M2 is basically an M4, then it's also basically a Ferrari, so I do plan to take care of it. |

We are getting a tad silly here. In Florida, the Liquid Sunshine State, that would M owners, and all the Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, McClaren, AMG, RS, etc. owners would be shit out of luck... |

Concur that it's an easy car to drive in the rain, especially in gusty weather. Great visibility out the front and sides, good wipers, good headlights, highly stable, very planted.

My wife and I have been sharing her SUV since I sold my F series M240i in October. It has worked out pretty well with both of us working from home. This week will be a big test though with the kids having sports/activities each day, and multiple things some days. I'm on a waiting list for the G87 and ETA is next summer to get a car. I highly doubt we are going to be able to wait long so I'm also looking at some used M2's.
I used to think I would just get a cheap daily like a minivan or something and have the M2 garaged through the winter. But changed course and will plan to put winter tires on it and drive when the SUV is in use. We got by for the last 3 MN winters with my RWD M240i with all season tires. Just need to appease my OCD by getting a car wash ASAP after the car gets winter roads messiness on it.

I'm picking mine up tomorrow, and it will be my daily. I already have a 9-hour drive planned to go to GA for an event with my buddy, but I should knock out the 1200-mile requirement in a single weekend!
