Because they just spent $1,000 and want to believe it did something than increase noise.

Well, I only spent $489 on BMS Intakes / open filters, and I can HEAR the difference. Lots of whoosh and I can hear the waste gate. Very cool. Plus, I KNOW I gained at least 1/4 horsepower. Worth every penny.

So can no one in a BMW forum get along unless their cars are the exact same or something?

This is so weird to have people be antagonistic about a car they don't even own yet to current owners of almost the EXACT SAME CAR. Would there even be a 'refresh' if people didn't buy the first version?

First is was F87 vs G87 now it's G87 vs G87.1? Some of y'all can be so lame and need to chill out

Nothing new really. When the F87 had LCI similar bickering and infighting ensued. When the M2C came out, well, let's just say it was bloody savage.

Interesting take.
Actually the opposite is going on.
Some current owners are being antagonistic about a car that hasn't even been released yet, and to will-be owners. Every time the power increase of the MY25 comes up and it gets poo-poo'd, it's a CURRENT owner doing the poo-poo'ing.
Let's at least try to agree where this starts.
I don't care about MY23 or MY24. I'm buying an MY25. I've never said anything about a prior gen, because the MY25's haven't even been built yet.

I would say it was kind of equal between the two of you lol. I have a MY24 and would love the changes but based on the fact I have a MT and my driving style it is unlikely I would notice a 4% increase. That being said, anyone interested in donating the new wheel to me just out of love I would be happy.

Carefree's point is that there is a time-value to buying early that, to him, justifies the purchase and missing out on the MY25 goodies. i happen to agree in my own way. ive made wonderful memories in this car already and i probably dodged a lot of coming maintenance on my old ride.

i am just happy that enough people bought early that BMW is seeking to improve the product and hopefully will carry us to 2029 production. this feels like the real launch of the car, which is very cool and exciting, since its been a long time from the last time i caught a car on the leading edge vs 15 years after it ceases production.

the "no true scotsman" schtick is lame though. let the CS guys belittle all us regular G87 folks when they come; for now we are all in the same boat.

Hopefully they won’t do that. Why would they? If I wanted to drop the $$ on a CS, I’d wait and get one. At this point I could probably get the single allotment still. Why would one belittle another for having an older, lower model? Or even just a lower model? I don’t see that behavior in the CS/CSL G80/G82 threads…

Thank you.

The opportunity cost of waiting for a MY25 is not having a riot driving a G87 for 1 year.

It’s a simple concept misunderstood by simple minds.

Everybody’s “time to buy” is different.
When the G87 came out, I wasn’t ready to buy. Heck, I was horrified at the front end of the car until I finally saw one rolling a year after release.
When I was ready to buy was only a few months ago, and at that time, I still had a ton of test drives to do and the rumors of increased power on MY25 were already circulating. It was silly in my eyes to buy 2 months ago (still would be waiting for a MY24 delivery), so close to the end of a model year.
Pretty simple concepts.

This thread is hilarious. Two days in, four pages later, completely off topic; not a single reply from the OP.
