What is for me or not is not for you to decide. I have never encountered such a strange herd mentality before on a car forum. As if I owe obeisance because you bought a car with a bigger engine or because you have written more often here? You guys with the 240 are basically stroking each others’ egos. What a strange bunch! Not car enthusiasts but bound to some strange hierarchy unable to appreciate anything else. The title of this thread is revelatory of the mindset. You are the smartest. LOL!

I completely disagreed with the people who came in an crapped on your thread and completely disagree with you feeling the need to come in and crap on this thread.

I've learned as a 230 owner just to ignore the haters. The car met my needs better than the M240, so I don't give a flying phughk what they think about my decision

Taking the high road is one thing but after all the negativity towards the 230i in that thread, I did make an effort to understand the 240i with a test drive. I posted my impression of that car which wasn’t positive and it offended people here. I do take exception to people misrepresenting what I wrote and their self-righteous anger. They can dish it out but can’t take any criticism.

For the final time, no one on the other thread dismissed or disrespected your choice of a 230i.
However, when you started posting nonsense like, “ A base Cayman would run rings around a 2 series with either the four or six cylinder engine”, “ The 240 has a boat anchor strapped to the hood of the car.” etc etc you’re bound to get a negative response.

You also posted a pretty hateful post against an individual (so rude it seems to have been removed by the mods) and then continued to make jibes on users names, and experiences calling them “morons” etc.

So it seems the person who has been rude to forum members and dismissed and disrespected a members choice is YOU.
