My local dealer rejected my all-cash offer. Forced me out of town to buy my M2.

Its sad that usaa has fallen off so much that i don't trust them to finance any more. Their rate is/was like 4.49
Interested in why you say that about USAA. I’m financed with them at 4.6 (I believe) and have had no issues. Refinanced with them after initially financing with BMW.

I'm a member but I don't trust their financial stability or customer service. Hop on to reddit.com/r/usaa and have a read. They are, by all accounts, a company in turmoil that many people have problems with.

When I was trying to finance my car, their website was non functional for 4 days straight. (In early nov 2024) I'm not even going to consider a bank that can't even run a website.

I believe you are in Edmonton? If they didn’t disclose that position before determining the price and also indicated that any financing could be paid off in full immediately, then they are likely in breach of the AMVIC rules and should be reported: https://www.amvic.org/financing-only...for-consumers/

Are you in the US?

This illegal in every state.

I'm in Vancouver. And where I'm confident we have the same consumer protections, it just wasn't a war I was preprepared to wage.

And where I could have paid-off the financing immediately, the dealer adds on fees to do so.

Suffice it to say, the dealer will never see me as a customer...(and I tend to flip my cars every three years.)

Yeah, I'd be making their life miserable with the authorities.

Interesting. I’ve been a customer 20+ years and have no complaints. They consistently beat other rates for insurance, took good care of me the couple times I needed to file a claim, and financing with them was very smooth.

Not refuting other people’s experiences, but Reddit is hardly a good representation of the collective, IMO.
