South Carolina and North Carolina are night and day. Unless you work in Charlotte, NC and live right on the border in SC it won't work. Or unless you work from home. But I wouldn't want to live in SC. When I drove through it was a bunch of farms and really poor looking and the roads were horrible.

house 1 and house 3 are the best looking on the outside, but living in an urban I've found that the interior style and floor plan is much more important than exterior looks, e.g. in Chicago (proper)there are many condos,homes etc that are nothing special on the outside but are spectacular inside. Outside of the city, definately there is more of a blance of exterior beauty as well as interior functionality. I still believe in going with the layout that works the best for you, location of rooms, sizes etc
