yessir, was a national ap scholar...what a fun program (cough) haha

but in all seriousness, it will make your college life a breeze in comparison to what it would have been without the ap program

Sucky. I elected not to take the AP Test. I was terrible at writing essays. The multiple guess part i would have nailed though.

Not necessarily. I took all 3 AP Physics, AP Chem, AP Calc, and AP World...

I got all 5's (except World because I didn't feel like writing the essay, 3) and my school doesnt give ANY credit for them. I can't even place out of any classes

nah I didnt mean necessarily in getting credit for classes. But the level of the AP program makes the equiv college classes a breeze when you get to them.

I went to U. of Illinois for the commodity finance program, and soon to go to either Kellogg or Wharton for their mba program part time while working.

for undergrad I am truly not convinced that paying the huge sums for the education there gives you anything other than a leg up when you try to get your first job (in terms of networking). I found that some jobs exclusively wanted ivy league, and some that said that, really just meant, show me you want this more than them.

I think education wise, for an undergrad program, you will get similar information whether you go to Ivy League or not...its the grad school that is important

The best thing about AP classes is getting college credit.

want advice? AP classes are bullshit. Take your classes through a local CC while in high school, get an A/B and your GUARANTEED credit...you can't beat that...on yea and the class doesn't cost over 200 bucks for a maybe you might get credit too

i guess, but some colleges don't accept them as units toward a major... and if your looking at grad school, most grad schools i think want you to take the classes you pass out of.

my AP units became simply "filler units" which means I don't need to take more bs classes to qualify for graduation (180 units total --45 units a year, 15 units a quarter), but that doesn't help if your planning on doing a minor...
