i was just riding around when i saw this guy kneeling by a body, crying; i stared at him for a second then noticed him take a pistol out and shoot himself in the head. wtf man

I've been playing Alan Wake...i got red dead redemption and Alan Wake within a couple days of eachother.....my brother has been hogging rdr

How's AW? I've heard is pretty disappointing. Been meaning to pick that up as well.

AW is ok so far. Definitely a gorgeous looking game and creepy. Right now, I'm interested in the story and want to finish it to know how it ends. It would have been cooler if there were puzzles and it was a little more difficult to start generators, rather than just pressing the A button three times when the marker gets in the HUGE green bar...but its not bad. I mean the story is pretty interesting.

5-10 hours doesn't seem like alot, especially coming from someone who's used to playing 100+ hour RPG's.

I better slow down and take my time. Can you return to the US and do more sidequests before beating the game?

So the story is interesting but the game play blows. For a 10-12 hour game that I'll likely never play again, seems like a rental.

ah, i didn't know you were an rpg guy. in that case, not too much is left. you can fast travel back and forth between new austin and mexico as much as you'd like, taking down bounties, night watching, doing stranger's quests, whatever

I wouldnt say the gameplay blows...its by no means anywhere close to red dead redemption, but its not horrible. However, it does kinda gets repetitive though after a while...shoot the shadows with the flashlight, shoot them with the gun, run to the next checkpoint, flashlight, gun, checkpoint. Rental is probably the way to go.

I remember someone in the game saying something about they need to prove that they are worth their high salaries so they continue to go for outlaws, and in this case even one that helped them out.

So many times it thought the game was over and no there was more! Sweet ending IMO.

I played 20 minutes of Alan Wake and then started playing RDR. I haven't touched AW since then. It seems like a good game, but RDR is incredible.
