Holy hell, how old are some of you? I'm appalled by some of these responses.. Have any of you actually DRIVEN one? Imo the design may not necessarily be appealing to the mass crowd, but it is a very important step for Lexus to be moving away from their typical "boring" cars and entering into the more performance oriented class. Keep in mind this is only their first "real" sport sedan. Give it some time and I'm sure Lexus performance will be getting much better... sheesh.

We have to be philosophical about this. Some work their life away and saving bit by to be able to deliver us some of the best "RICE" mods out there.
But Congratulations to Lexus, they have delivered it bone stock We understand they sometimes like to copy; they liked the rear pipes of the F430 They could have copied the rear of ... uhmmm, say, The M5, RS4, RS6 and many others ... but they did not want to copy... and they delivered it with a little tweek. The rest, shall we say ... was their inspiration!!! |

What makes no sense is that the thing is only rated to go .1 faster 0-60 than the IS350??

WTF is that OVER UNDER BULLSHIT on the exhaust? they thought that looked COOL???
and WTF all over again for that vent deal behind the front wheel. But at least they scrapped the idea to copy the M3 fender grills. =) IS-FTL |

The exterior design is OK, with the exception of of the gawd-awfull gills behind the front wheels -why one may ask was that necessary. Oh the tail pipes are not kool at all IMHO.
What's up with 8 speeds - I swear soon they'll make them with as many speeds as a MAC TRUCK.

I actually thought the IS350 looked O.K. as I liked the front, the side to a certain extent (except for the slab sided look) and I found the rear always looked a bit too Toyota... it looked wrapped up quick quick.
But on this car they really outdid themselves
To much RICE on the designers' mind Please, someone save us |

Trying not to be bias, but in IMHO the car is Fugly, reminds me of Need for Speed underground when you over-accessorize your car (especially the bulge in the hood, the fenders-turn running board side and the throw them together tailpipes) Hopefully the performance aspect and real drive feel will be the saving grace

I'm sure the business leaders will remind them not to become complacent and to use this opportunity to keep their leadership and never forget to keep their customer happy on the visual side and performance wise. You know, our parents generation; only had to know how to cook and be decent in bed . Today, our generation we want it all, looks good, pretty good in the sack, knows how to use the Microwave , smart and sexxxy. I could never stand this comment; yeah It's doesn't look great (looks like a sloppy jalopy or a POS) but drives like crazy. Guess what, here are a few that finally also got that message from their clients:
I know, some of you will find a way to tell me that some in the list are nice after all... but I'm sure most will agree that there are some good examples of uglyness in there What never ceases to fascinate me is all those bland and boring POS that Lexus had been turning up over the years and people kept gobbing them up ... Oh well +10 for them on their reliability. |
