This is on the right track! I love it. With the cameras, radar, and GPS they can then build on this tech to add smart braking, which will brake the car automatically and in a sporty manner, and smart steering that will steer the car in a sporty manner. This is just what I need so I can text message and post on the forums while "driving" the car in a sporty manner!

This is innovation that I, as a driver, must have! Finally I'll be able to enjoy a sporty driving experience!

The best thing? They can change their "Ultimate Driving Machine" slogan to "The Ultimate Riding Machine".

Nothing is free is this life.....a man telling me that I should let a machine do everything for me because its safer can kiss my a**.........a company by Airbus leaves by that theory an implements it into their computers' logic, hence why Airbus skims trees into a fireball wreck with their test planes, and Boeing doesn't, ebcause the computer encountered a situation it didn't have data for, and thought it made more sense to crash then to climb..... At the end of the day, a machine can help, but I want the final decision.

Definitely a cool idea but I would think that most people who who enjoy performance driving would either be purchasing a manual transmission or using the paddle shifters themselves. This could actually be dangerous for the average person who doesn't understand cars to all of the sudden have the car downshift and speed up.
