You are WELCOME. Try using one (or all of)those three dvd hack/links. I did not see your SONY player listed with a known hack. But often times another model's dvd hack will work across the model line. IF it works... be sure to post it on that page. Btw... I can say for certain that DVD Shrink will copy the dvd just fine, for playback in a US (NTSC) dvd player. Just so I can have a "back up" copy. |

Try playing it in your laptop/pc. Or... rip a copy(like using DVD Shrink) and burn it in a "region free" or "region 0" code. Then it should play.
The reason why it does not play is bc it is a PAL dvd. Your gonna need to convert it or play it in a "code free player" that can play PAL and NTSC discs. |

Those of us in the USA that ordered the Blu-Ray have a problem.
We probably would have been able to covert a normal DVD with DVD SHRINK. Looks like we are stuck until a solution becomes available. What a buzz-kill.

Why can't you guys just rip the BluRay dvd to a normal dvd ?
Use that site www.videohelp.com for answers to your problem. You should be able t rip yourself a clean copy with the right SW. Here are some Blu Ray dvd players that are code free for just over $115... http://www.220-electronics.com/dvd/m...dvd_player.htm |

I figured I'd add in what I've found out. I ordered two copies, one copy for me and one for my dad. I just got them two days ago and tried to play mine on my Playstation 3 but it was just a black screen. So I started doing some research and this is what I found out:
-I believe the issue you guys are having has nothing to do with region coding. The Blu-Rays were produced for the European market and it was produced in a different format named Full HD 1080i 50Hz, now I don't know a whole lot about this but Sony Playstation 3s don't play anything in the 50Hz format. I also believe that there are a select few Sony Blu-Ray players that support this as well. I then tried the disc in my dad's player and it worked. His is a Samsung and it converted the format from the 50Hz to the standard US format. Here is a forum that has a list of players that support it and a bunch more info: http://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-pla...atibility.html Hope this helps everybody else. The movie is EPIC BTW. |

Personally... I preferred watching the film in German w/o English subtitles. But then again I know enough German to get by and understand what they are saying. This is simply the best film I have seen on BMW Motorsport. Dack |
