But that's true of a Cayman too, you're comparing sports cars to GT's, of course the sports car is louder. The new semi-rigid 991 convertible top looks interesting and should be nearly as quiet as a coupe.

I prefer the more traditional look of a softop, and find four seat folding hardtops to look awkward at best, but understand why you'd prefer the more luxurious approach.

Well, wouldn't you say a Z4 is comparable to a Boxster? They're in the same class. As is the SLK.

I know comparing an E93 to a Boxster is apples and oranges, but I think a boxster and a z4/slk are oranges and blood oranges (similar enough )

I've never driven or even seen a 991 in person so I can't comment on it :/. not yet at least.
