I may have missed it, but any word on when Savagegeese will be doing a review?

Flaming dumpsters

Admit they are pretty, and fast. But yes, absolute turds in the build quality and reliability areas.

I hope Chris' is just him on track and able to full exploit the car.

Also waiting for Mark and Jack from SavageGeese. Heard they were invited to the press event but did not attend because of the time restrictions imparted by BMW. If anyone was going to provide a truly critical look into these cars, it was probably SG. I personally can’t wait for their full review.

Lol! In my very limited defense, I copied the link as I usually do. Maybe my VPN was on? No clue, don’t know much about tech, I’m just glad I didn’t attach an OnlyFans link.

I am guessing we will not see a video from him until BMW UK provides him with a press vehicle.

You are more than likely aware, but Chris owns a F87 CS wrapped in BRG, British Racing Green.

Absolutely but he's also fair and calls out his own preferences. I also suspect with TC off he'll have a damn good time.

Nobody cares about Hyundai and their low-end transmissions. Please stop directing this thread off-topic.

We live in a world where FWD based compact econoboxes like the RS3 weighs in at 3639 lbs so it's not really surprising that a car based on the much larger 3 series platform would weigh in around 3750 lbs. It costs massive amounts of money to save weight as look at how much the CSL costs for a measly 130 lbs of weight savings so while BMW could make a 2400 lb M2, nobody would buy it at $150k.

Way too late for that now.

Furthermore, this thread is rather lengthy now at nearly 40 pages. Realistically, no individual in their right mind is going to spend the time needed to go through it. Edit, if so they might want to find a hobby.

If they built a GT3 version of this car for 150k they WOULD ABSOLUTELY have buyers.

Please, for the love of god. Allow me to stop embarrassing you any further.

Affected models include 2022 model year Elantra N, Kona N, and Santa Cruz vehicles and Santa Fe, Sonata, and Veloster N vehicles from both 2021 and 2022, with 53,142 total vehicles involved in the recall. Dealers will inspect the transmissions, replacing them free of charge when necessary. They will also reprogram the transmission control unit with updated software to fix the fail-safe driving capability.

Hyundai issued a "stop sale" order of the affected vehicles on October 7 and will begin contacting owners by December 5. In the meantime, owners can check whether their vehicle is affected on the NHTSA recalls website.

RS3
- no carbon roof or seats
- AWD
- 2" more rear headroom, 3" more rear leg room
- auto vs auto the M2 is about 200+ pounds more at 3850.

is all the weight coming from extra chassis bracing ? thats my only guess. bmw crunched the numbers and felt trade off with the weight was worth it.

Dear god, what the hell happened? Why do we have 39 pages?? Is this the only thread in BIMMERPOST that went too far with pages? Or were there more and I missed out because I joined in May of 2022?

Those numbers that initially circulated online are simply wrong.

These are from Stuttcars.com plus other sources, and corroborated by scale measurements from rennlist whenever possible.
991.2 GT3: 3116lbs
991.2 Carrera T: 3142lbs
991.2 Carrera S: 3175lbs

These are directly from Porsche.
992 GT3: 3164lbs
992 Carrera S: 3262lbs
992 Carrera T: 3254lbs

There were weight increases, but much smaller compared to BMW.

To me, ID7 was just right.

When I decided to get the M240ix, found out availability was scarce and by the time an allocation would have come to me, I was told it would absolutely be a 2023 with the ID8.

When I saw that it looked 3 Amazon Fire HD tablets stacked side by side (not even iPad level), I was really bummed out.

I got lucky, a buyer ahead of me declined to finalize purchase of the vehicle they ordered, in the color I wanted and with every available option except active cruise control (apparently wasn't available at that time), so I took that deal and ended up with a June 2022 built 2022.

So, I was happy to end up with non-intrusive ID7, which offers more than I am ever going to fully take advantage of. My only real concern is how long BMW will offer updates.

I love cruise control, and absolutely despise adaptive cruise control. Am I the only one who finds it wasteful? I routinely get 1-2mpg better when the computer is not involved.
