So looking at the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site, there is a Veracruz to Galveston sail departing on March 25th, scheduled to arrive March 29th.
That vessel is the Arc Resolve and is currently in and around the northern coast of South America. (You may well be shipping on another vessel though as I'm not fully genned up on the shipping companies BMW use for the USA) |

So went in and collected her tonight.
Order place October 25th and delivered March 3rd - so just over 4 months (including any downtime from the factory for the festive period). Some other chap was also in collecting his near identical spec 240i at the same time (He ticked the ZTK box though and with hindsight; for the extra £350, I wish I did too) Immediate observations: That glovebox is tiny compared to the X3, it won't shut with my ice scraper stuck in there! Speed limit audible and lane departure warning is now set to default on at the start of every journey which sucks a55 big style as you have to faff about switching them off. Speed limit is less of an issue as that can be done with holding the Set button on the steering wheel but Lane Departure seems to need done via the IDrive (This is probably more of an EU market thing than global). Tech has moved on quite a bit since my 2021 X3 with the digital key and AI / Journey learning / action thing. Migration of dashboard buttons into the touch screen also sucks (Heated seats and all climate control) but I guess that's just the way all modern cars are going these days. Only 1000 more miles until I can really open her up properly! |

Wish that ZTK was only a £315 option , it adds £995 for the 893m alloys and currently an extra £555 in first year VED ( increasing to £1000 as of 01/04 ) due to the increase in CO2 emissions ![]() |

Mine went from code 112 'Order Scheduled for Production' to 150 'Production Started' today. My Client Advisor said it is listing an estimated completion date for 3/19.
Not feeling very confident I'll actually be taking delivery given the tariff games being played as I won't be paying anything more than I agreed to when I put down the deposit and signed the order back in January. I made them put it in writing that my deposit was fully refundable if there was any price increase that I did not agree to. |

My 230i finally went into In Transit status today. I wish I could enjoy the moment, but unfortunately it looks like I may be losing my job shortly, so I probably will need to pass on the car. This was my first new car ever and I already put down $1k, but I guess I have to do the smart thing. What a disappointment on top of the already terrible disruption in my life.
Just had to vent. |

Posting this in case it is ever helpful for future Canadian purchases.
Order Received - 11/28 (Dealer told me my allocation was 7th week of 2025) (status 111) Order Modification Received: 12/06 (conf build week, 01/04/2025) (status 111) Scheduled For Production - 01/06 (status 112) Production Begins - 01/08 (VIN received) (status 150) Exterior Body Assembly Begins - 01/20 In Paint Shop - 01/20 Entering Assembly Line - 01/20 Assembly In Progress - 01/21 Quality Control - 01/21 (status 155) Final Assembly - 01/21 (status 160) Ready For Transport - 02/05 (status 165) Awaiting Carrier Assignment - 02/12 Dispatched From Factory - 02/12 (status 190) At The Port (Halifax) - 02/19 (status 193) In Transit (On Rail) - 02/19 (status 195) At The Dealership - 03/12 (Dealer confirmed ETA) Vehicle Delivered - 03/14 (Dealer confirmed ETA) My production tracker never listed when my car was at the port in Mexico, nor when it was in transit on the ship. The manager at my dealer confirmed when it said At Port in the app that was the Halifax port (status code 193) and In Transit (code 195) meant it was being sent by rail from the port. |

But no obvious annoying rattles or anything that feels wrong. Like I mentioned just after I picked it up - the two main annoyances are the safety features which appear to be mandated changes to all UK cars now. I can switch speed warning off just by pressing and holding a button on the steering wheel as part of the start up routine. Lane assist I've created a shortcut on the iDrive screen to go straight there so its 3 screen taps before setting off. The HUD was sitting too low for me when I left the dealership so repositioned it when I got home. Going to work this morning it defaulted to being low again but I hadn't set a seat memory position yet so I think that will solve it - will update tomorrow. I'm in a coastal town so unfortunately the seagulls decided to pepper the car today (This isn't even summer season yet either so can only get worse!) |

During the spring/summer/fall here in Massachusetts, I usually check my car every couple of hours to check for bird bombs. Need to get that stuff off right away. |

So I called genius and turns out it was on the Liberty and arrived in Galveston a few days ago. Zero update on the app and the dealership was going to try to track it down. Fingers crossed I’m a few days to a week out from getting it! Just unsure why if it arrived in Galveston days ago there’s is no update or movement. Genius said it left Veracruz and was set to arrive at the port by 3/2. Tracked the ship and it arrived 2/28. Now just hoping that information is correct and wondering what the hold up is

My BMW app has been saying Final assembly for a couple of weeks now but I called the Genius bot today and my car has been released to the carrier.
Hoping the tariffs won’t be problematic! |

Just be aware that you could be in RFT stage for several weeks before it leaves the factory parking lot.

My car has been assigned a truck from Galveston (I’m also in TX). So looking like I should finally get it sometime next week! I’ve been waiting a year -was in a lease I was waiting to end -so this has been the LONGEST wait ever! From the time they actually got a production date it will be around 6-7 weeks start to finish. I don’t recommend getting your heart set on a car a year ahead of time because it’s tough waiting so long! But can hardly contain my excitement!!
I do want to get the windows tinted..dealership can do it or I can just go to a tint shop. Any recommendations on dealer vs a good tint shop? |

Don't let a dealer do anything to your car. Literally everything they do is just subbed out and marked up.

Just became aware that doing the F12 thing will show me the estimated production completion date, same as you get
calling BMW Genius. Mine started production March 4th and currently has an expected completion on the 14th. |

Help With Tracking....
I have my production # and have entered into MyBWM where my build now appears as "Scheduled For Production". My CA's provided Order Confirmation Sheet states 2025/03/13 Conf Prod.
Have heard of the "F12" info..but how does that work? From the MyBMW page for my new car, pressing F12 (on my iMac) does nothing...so either that's not an Apple compatible feature, or I'm not doing something correctly. Any help from iMac users? TIA |
