Pizza!

Company for dinner so I made a larger pizza, using a sheet pan.

I like how it came out. Same crust as always, sliced mozzarella, sauce and pepperoni. Same herb seasoning combination as usual.

I was aiming for a Detroit-style-inspired pizza and it turned out more Sicilian-style. Next time I will use more cheese and more oil in the pan.

With salad. Good stuff!

Smoked brisket!

Bought a whole brisket yesterday and smoked the point today. Two more cuts in the freezer for next time(s).

Smoked for 8ish hours on 225F in a Pit Boss vertical pellet smoker. Apple pellets. Dry rub with kosher salt, cumin, oregano, black pepper and brown sugar. Wrapped with foil when internal temp reached 170F.

Nice smoke ring and smoke flavor. This is only the second brisket I have smoked so it's still early in my brisket journey.

Actually, we stopped at Sheetz in Virginia once for fuel/lunch on a road trip. The cheesesteak sub that I had was pretty good, and I would go back again when we're in that area.....

Sheetz has good food (sandwiches), and is the best travel plaza/rest stop in the mid-Atlantic imo if not on the NJTPK.

Wawa on the other hand has better sandwiches than Sheetz, again in the PA-NJ-MD region. Their hoagie rolls are the best. #gottahavawawa

Plus, Wawa has free coffee from time to time! Wawa is expanding into Florida which is funny considering all of the east coasters migrating to Florida.
