My client in Mystic CT suggested that before I leave town I stop at a gourmet bakery called Sift. I got a cup of coffee and possibly the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever eaten. I also grabbed a bag of their dark roast beans to take home. They're going in the grinder as I type this!

Wine shipment day. Unfortunately, one (The Bard from Realm Cellars) was delayed. FedEx sucks this December. That’s the third delayed shipment of different things they are delivering this month from different parts of the country.

I just had 2/2 FedEx packages that were originally scheduled to arrive last Friday; reappear in their tracking system as scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Supposed to snow a little tomorrow... I'm pessimistic.

For something more than a table wine, Silver Oak used to be our go-to choice, but The Bard and Lewis have supplanted Silver Oak. Hanging onto that Stag's Leap Cask 23 and a few other bottles for special occasions. We'll bring something nice to the restaurant for our 20th anniversary next month.

My mentor and I have reinstituted our Wine Table chat every Thursday or so. I'll get pics of what we tried last week and what this weeks offering is. I drop my daughter at the airport for a 3 week trip to California

so I'll be in the grape afterwards.

I know that I'll be starting with Red Schooner by Caymus, Voyage 5 then move on to our pic of the week then cigars and port.

A good way to discuss business and relax.

One of my wife's gifts this year. I can't believe that I am finished with my shopping. I usually procrastinate, but I was more proactive this year and I figured these earrings would make a nice finishing touch..

Just ordered some supplemental door seals for myself. My company also gave me almost $100 worth of Amazon gift cards, so I'll be finishing up my shopping with those, and then possibly buying some valve stem caps, since I hate the N2 green ones.
