First, I would like to say that your bike looks amazing. It's like a piece of art!

You mentioned having your fairings dipped in white carbon fiber... please tell me more about this procedure.
I was planning on having the lower fairings (flat black) on my S1000RR painted Alpine White to match the front end of it, but this white carbon fiber idea has me intrigued and I wouldn't mind going with that if it completes the picture I have in mind for what I want my bike to look like...
Do you have any pictures of what it looks like?
Is it an expensive procedure?
Does it take a long time to complete the process?

Any information you can give me about having this done would be highly appreciated!

First off thank you for the kind words man, but this process is kinda hard to explain in full, ill try my best.

It's a process called hydro dipping. What they do is get a special vinyl that when sprayed with an agent it liquifies and turns to ink. What they do is then put the parts into the water and dip them through the vinyl. This causes the ink to transfer to the part in the style u selected.

There is YouTube videos on this and it's really cool. It won't chip because rs ink on your paint. As for cost, it ranges. It maybe $200 for your lowers I'm not sure. You will have to call around and ask who does it or post on your bike site and ask. It's called hydro dipping I think. They can do any cf we've or pattern as long as they can buy it. There are 100s of cf types u jus have to find one u like. Hope this helps

Nice! Thanks for the info. The price is definitely something I can get excited about if I could have it done for less than $300. I will check on YouTube as per your advice to see what it looks like and how it is done. As for not chipping, that is definitely a motivator because I want to have this done on my lower fairings. All in all, this sounds like a better way to go versus my original thought of having them painted. Thanks again! Stay safe on the roads.

Was never interested or cared for motorcycles. Read this thread, became interested in motorcycles. So interested that I walked into a MSF class last week. Fell in love with riding doing even the most basic of exercises in a parking lot. Currently looking to pick up something like this.

Just wanted to say thank you to you folks who made this thread and helped me discover a passion for motorcycles.

Welcome! Once you get on the roads, you will fall deeper in love with riding. I always thought motorcycles were cool, but was more into cars, so never showed much interest in getting on a bike until I went to the MSF Course early 2011.
Once I came out of the course, I was all about bikes... almost started neglecting my car...! (almost) lol.
Now, as long as it is 40 degrees or higher with clear skies, (I chance it on some cloudy days), i'm taking the bike to work.
Now all I need is a fighter jet and my collection will feel complete
Once again, welcome to the club. Just stay safe on the roads and enjoy!

A few mods to my Diavel ...

I have yet to shoot a nice video of the exhaust sound, and do a proper photoshoot, so these are just a few teaser pics from the day I got the bike from the shop.

The pipes turn a dark maroon color when they get hot, then back to the lighter red as they cool off. You can actually see this and I think a video will be best for that, which I hope to get around to sometime soon. Will post more pics of the pipes while they're hot in the meantime.

Garage List
2007 BMW 335i  [8.24]
Been a while since I posted in here, I FINALLYYY got my RS50 running right. Had it almost a year now and I rode it for the first time 3 days ago. Here it is, its pretty slow but man its a blast to ride. It has 70cc athena kit on it, exhaust, an intake, and top end gearing. Had a little fun with gopro, its not that great of editing but it gets the point across. I top it out, got to about 70.

Here is a shot of the drive way from today after cleaning everything. Buell XB9S, Aprilia RS50, My e92 335, roomates s54 swapped e36 m3, and friends e36 m3 track car.

I've always loved the 848 paint scheme. Too bad the 1x98 has mediocre ergonomics.

No they don't. My bike started life as a stock 2012 Thruxton, which also comes with bars now
