She was not. It was a nurse at my dad’s memory care center. I rather doubt she’s ever worn a Candy Striper outfit.

I guess the type of nurse’s uniform you remember could mean you’re old. I found a whole host of uniforms, but this first one is the one I remember most from childhood. I think the second one might be more what you were thinking of.

Yes and no, I remember the uniform from the movie "Candy Striper (1978)" that I watched in the main cafeteria on HMCS Skeena DDH 207 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMCS_Skeena_(DDH_207).

As the internet was not public back then, these "kind" of movie were either on 8mm or Betamax tape

Must've missed that one, JJ. I do remember some other ones, though.

Is the second one from the Heart Attack Grill? I wanted to go there, but it's in a city I never need to visit again.

Same here -- Never heard of it. We had Sesame Street and Electric Company. Maybe it was a N.E. thing?

Zoom (the TV show) was syndicated to the PBS network. Remember it well:

I grew up on this stuff: Sesame Street, Electric Company, Zoom, Mr Roger’s.

Compare that to what todays morons (kids) grow up watching…,

From what I recall, zoom was on PBS like Sesame street. I used to watch it on channel 57 in Western Mass. Rotary Antenna.. No cable back then...

It must be that not all PBS stations carried Zoom.

I called Medicare and they confirmed that Shingrix is not covered in my situation. At the suggestion of my clinic, I called two local pharmacies to check prices -- $450 or $600 for two injections. I think I'm going to do it, but not for $600!

I missed most of these by a few years in my youth, but did see them on occasion when my younger siblings tuned in.

Sorry you have to pay Llarry but it's better than taking the chance you might get it. Looks awful and sounds painful.
