When did you place your order? I placed mine on 1/3 and the car should be at the dealer in a week or so, maybe sooner. I'm also getting it in San Diego.

It seems like everyone has been told ~ week 14 lately, betting we'll see a bunch pushed out even further when the week finally arrives.

I'm still waiting on my 1/15 allocation, pushed out from week 6 to week 14. I'm just hoping I get the vehicle before summer ends.

I updated to "awaiting carrier assignment" overnight.. so i guess that's progress, but it also means i didn't get on that ship i had been watching.. still probably at least 4 weeks away from getting this car

East coaster, 2 weeks and counting being stuck in “final assembly”

Consider yourself lucky that things are actually happening with your car.

for a car that was scheduled last week in January and for it to take like 6 weeks to build and 2 weeks for waiting for transport.. it doesn't feel like i got too lucky.. but i understand where you're coming from...

all told if i get the car by May first, the whole process will have taken 5 full months

Your CA should have told you it could take that long. Mine said 4-5 months.

Apparently most CA's have no clue what they are talking about then. No surprise there

Mine is usually spot on, he was for my wifes car that she received a few months back.

Going into custom ordering a car in this climate everyone should know that it's pretty much all guess-work as to how long things could take and there is no way that things will happen quickly. Part shortages could happen at any time and could affect timelines drastically.

For all of us that got the week 14 bump from week 5/6. I just learned today that BWM had shut the plant down for a few weeks. I'm not sure which weeks exactly. This could also explain why so many lingered in production for so long recently.

i would love to know why that is... because i got one of the last ones before the shut down.. so that's either good or bad i guess... i had thought the delay was so they could make right hand drive cars for a while.. but it'll be interesting to find out if there was a change to the car or something mid production run for 2022

YES: I moved from ready to transport to in transit sometime between yesterday afternoon and now. Really curious what ship we're on and when it will get to the north east-presumably port in New Jersey.

Quoting myself here-my CA says it's due in New Jersey on 4/22. So should have it around May 1. I ordered the first or second week in December-so just about exactly 6 months.

I hope your CA is correct..though that seems pretty fast if it really just left port last night...we could also be on different ships and both got updated.

https://sallaumlines.us/schedule/ this schedule shows the captain hitting Newark on 4/12.. so maybe your CA is just padding to set expectations
