Man TSLA at 167. Wait til it loses market share, it better start innovating and quick. The same car in 5 colors and 5 sizes with mediocre quality won't cut it.

In 10 years TSLA will be out-invested by the majors.

Between now and then, it will be interesting for shareholders. Plus EM has a new project to distract him from ploughing necessary massive capex into TSLA.

Am I panicking? Yes. Am I resolved to the end? Yes. I sold some. I’m sticking with it. I’m nervous

I think the movement has more to do with twitter. Story is still the same. Hard to believe I was up over 120% and now am negative

One of the things I've found interesting about Tesla are its Consumer Reports ratings for Expected Reliability and Owner Satisfaction. The former rates as low as it can go (1/5), and the latter as high as it can go (5/5). I think Range Rover is the only other model line that manages to achieve that feat year-after-year.

This one is a few years old now, but I wonder if Tesla is still bolting together the Model 3 in a tent:

Sold Coinbase stock. Didn't have much, but FTX is domino effect. Hopefully Robinhood doesn't go too

Why suboptimal? What is your investing time horizon?

A month maybe. I'm going to dollar cost average down until about 1200 shares. Then a couple bucks profit would be fine for me.

Given the situation with their supply chain (or is it demand?) it seems like a lot of risk. If your average cost is $140 for those 1200 shares, then $2/share is a return of 1.4%. Given that AAPL could easily drop 2-3X that depending on the news out of China, there seem to be a bunch of places that you can put that money to work and make more than 1.4% with a lot less risk. That's the return on a short term T-bill, almost.

I was only at 575 shares today and sold at $147.86. Made a good $2500 today, a little of something is better than a lot of nothing. I think it's riskier now to buy AAPL than this time last week, fed news notwithstanding.

Tell us what's good Scott Wapner.

There's as much value to the SBF interview as there is in crypto as an investment. Most of those pumping are "a bunch of kids having a sleepover" as Sorkin said. It's going to turn out so bad for so many people. I dislike him even more after this interview and never thought that would be possible.

I wish I was that young and pretty! But I did buy some $25 Feb '23 VIX calls today after it dropped through $20. That's worked 4-5x this year and I suspect when the earnings sh*t hits the fan in Jan/Feb it will again.

If AAPL didn't have more fan-boys than TSLA I'd short it, but that's a fool's errand. Will have some cash when I close out my HD put sale (got $1088/contract, it's now down to $88, so I'll probably buy it back to free up that cash) next week. Still waiting for AAPL to hit $130.

Not too bad. $3.25 ($325/contract). If the VIX gets North of 25 (and it's been above that level 2/3 of this year) I'll make a reasonable profit. If it hits 30 I'll do very well.

I have been eying the vix too, but have held off as I am trying to bring up my cash reserves

I sold my current 350 share position in AAPL at market open, $1700 gain. Not sure what to do now, all cash again, but reluctant to invest anywhere...timing the market...not too smaht.
