I sold my 07 GSXR and went with the FZ8. I tend to ride much more now. The FZ is more comfortable and still has loads of power. Here is mine, and my favorite helmet i have had yet:

i'd LOVE to have an FZ8 !!!!!
lucky bastard. ok, so i've decided to change a few things this weekend. i took some pieces to get painted so i could match my car. I sent the paint code from my RT Challenger to my buddy so he could use that color to paint my bike flat.... 1) L&M Full Wrap Fender, the gas tank, the rear fender, the side coil covers and the two other side pieces will be painted "flat grey". 2) the gas tank cover will be painted flat black 3) long side pieces (not sure what they're called) and the rear fender piece sitting on top will be plastidipped black. 4) rims are staying plastidipped red **if I have to, I can always take my rims and powdercoat them black or red or even buy me a set of chrome rims like my Challenger watchya'll think ?? first pic is the black and red scheme. second picture i added a bit more flat grey to it. kind of hard to tell from this picture since it's photoshopped. |

I like the photoshopped changes!
After having gloss paint and flat paint on bikes, I think I never want gloss again. The matte just looks so much better. It also stays clean so much longer.

I posted in the E84 forum hoping I would meet owners there who also ride, so if I may, I'll post here as well.. Pics of my two current bikes and the bike I traded in for my Guzzi. Bikes pictures are my 2001 BMW R1200c Phoenix, 2014 Moto Guzzi California Touring and my recently traded in 2006 HD VRSCD Night Rod.

I've always thought that R1200C was a weird bike, but always kind of liked it at the same time. Good lookin' bikes you got. Never seen a red Night Rod before, pretty cool.

The R12c is my favorite all time bike and I have had a few. Die hard BMW riders hated it as well as die hard HD riders hated the V-Rod. (The color mine was called is Brandywine Sunglo) The R12c fits like an old pair of broken in sneakers. It's loaded with goodies all standard, and thank you!

Very cool. It does look comfy. I always loved the R1100S back then, but never got one. My previous bike however was a K1200R. That thing was badass!

I love most BMW bikes, my problem with them is seat height though. I'm short and my R1200c comes in at the top of my comfort level at 29.1 inches. I wish I could have flat footed the K1200LT as it would have also been in my garage.

Oh, I know I would LOVE a Diavel!!! I was seriously considering it before I got the Moto Guzzi. In the end though, it was just to close a match to the V-Rod. Ducati just came out with a "touring" Diavel called the Strada and it was the one I test rode and almost bought. Maybe in a few years I will buy a used one, we'll see.

Haha that's funny. Back when I wouldn't be caught dead on a cruiser I secretly admired the VROD when it came out, still like them but couldn't pass up the handling and looks of the Diavel

The Diavel is listed by Ducati as a power or sport cruiser, the Strada as a "touring" model. When I went to inquire about insurance they came up as sport bikes, which raises my insurance. Another reason I decided to hold off on. No denying the bikes are fast and unique! |
