Here's a point to consider.

MP HAS installed at my BMW dealer would have been $2,800.

The KW HAS installed was $3,000, because with the new adaptive suspension it took the shop longer than they expected. Quite a bit longer.

Check with your installer BEFORE you move ahead and get a firm price. Because you may be able to get the MP (which is just KW in a different color) PLUS the BMW warranty for the same or less.

Lesson learned on my part.

MP HAS at my dealer installed was $4400. KW HAS with install ended up costing me $2000. Shouldn't take more than 4-6 hours labor.

If you paid $2k for labor on a spring install, you got played brother

It has secondary cats. The actual cats are in the downpipe

I had 12 weeks of wait and would’ve gotten them on the 11th week had it not been for the holiday delay from UPS.

As far as I know the diff oil is not part of the break in service (may have been at some point in the past) but it’s something I would like done as well. Did you have to request and pay extra for that?

That is part of the service my dealer does for M-Cars. My 17 M2 was serviced in the same manner.

It has been for ///M models for quite a while. Our 2007 Z4M had the diff oil changed as part of the 2000km break-in service.

I’m probably confusing tranmission with diff…. Was transmission oil the one that used to be included on M cars in the past?

Is the instument panel layout as depicted unique to the G87? I have not seen that in a G42. Thanks.

My mechanic is also the #2 service chief of the department. By the book on service. Any dealer not doing this would be a surprise.

Oil release/Refill
Diff oil release/Refill
Inspection
Leak check

Complete.

17 M2 same and M2CS. There has not been a change.

Not sure. I've gotten a ton of comments from people saying they had no idea how to switch to the sport display, which is surprising. Was the first thing I changed when I got the car. Many thinking the M-Mode button on center console is the same as M1/M2 on the steering wheel, but it is strictly the display.

Sounds good. Subtle but solid increase over stock. Torn between single and EL when the time comes. Single offers additional weight saving but EL seems to offer a bit more sound in the upper rpms. Coming from a v8 with long tubes and full exhaust definitely need something more than stock lol.

Wow that dealer install for the MP HAS is crazy considering port install is like 2800.

This display does not exist in the G42 - what I have seen of the M displays looks much better then the G42 displays IMO.

Maybe it can be coded in though?
