The one I bought from US Amazon came with a blob of super sticky putty. Stock button came right off with one swift upwards pull.

Did this already myself. Not as bad as yours. Had a wheel repair place fix it. About $150. Basically they paint it with a silver paint and clear coat it. It looks good when done. Only a really savy person can find the spot. However, your rash is pretty big. You might want to have the whole wheel machined (diamond cut).

It's fortunately not too deep. I am hoping it comes out perfect, otherwise I'd rather just buy a new wheel. The company I am using has solid reviews

Yeah trust me it wasn't a good day. Go out for lunch to my favorite restaurant and this happens as I'm parking because some d0uche honked at me and I got distracted. I am usually very careful specifically with wheel to curb contact, but it happens. Will not happen again for sure.

It’s good to get it out of the way and see that it can be fixed. Anxiety drops a lot after. Lol! It will come out good. Where you can tell the difference is when you look real close you will not see the lines from the diamond cutting that show on the rest of the wheel edge. But, you have to get up real close to notice that. Only someone who knows what they’re looking for would be able to find the repair.

I was a lot less mad surprisingly, I was just like ugh this $20 lunch just costed me $220. While eating I was already texting buddies and looking for vendors for repair.

I couldn't care less about that detailed aspect, I just want a smooth surface with good paint. If it looks 90-95% like new, I am good. A new wheel is over $600, plus the inconvenience of spending a day at a shop, paying for mount and balance etc. $200 and the guy comes to my house, fixes my wheel, and leaves.

It will look good when fixed. Enough that it won’t bother you. I am certain.

Looks a lot easier to install too assuming you have access to the underside of that cross bar.

Just curious, why nylon nut instead of a metal nut and lock washer?

I did nylon nut for the front because that's what comes with burgers and dinans brace kits. Figured they did the research

No, just used a torque wrench, the factory bolts are strong enough to cut a thread in the hole

I used the factory bolts with M10 washers and Nyloc nuts

I think he meant Nyloc not nylon. Nyloc is what Dinan uses and what should be used for any structural component. Can't imagine that a nylon nut would even torque up properly.
