It was apparently some group with financial backing, with a mission of saving the manual shifter. Given the job location, I wouldn't be surprised if BMW (or VW) was a contributor.....

Went to the doc yesterday for my aching back. Doc’s gong to decide if she wants me to get an MRI or a CT scan and then email me a referral. Said it could take up to 5 days to be approved by my insurance. Then who knows how long it’ll be once I make an appointment.

Hurry up and wait.

She said she might think a kidney but I had blood and urine tests a few months ago and the back ache has been longer, so probably not that.
