Got back to my walks tonight. Next week I plan to start exercising again. Not going to let this back problem stop me. Don’t care what the CT scan shows.

Did you ever notice that "old" people are always about 15 years older than you are, no matter what age you are?

Got results from the CT scan: L3-4 disc bulge, L4-5 disc bulge, L5-S1 disc bulge.

Got a call in to my doc asking what she wants to do about it.

In the meantime Dr. Google says 6-8 weeks of resting the back, continue walking, hot and cold therapy, nSAIDs.

Ouch. Hope it heals up quickly.

I picked up a semi-heavy box that had hard corners and now I have nasty looking but painless bruises on my arms. Something about getting old makes it so easy to get bruises. I have a yearly physical in a couple of weeks. If these bruises are still here, my doc will think Wifey has been beating me.

Are you anemic? Some people are that bruise easily.

My dry old skin is thin and tears and bleeds easily. I will get blood under the skin on my arms from a wound that lasts for weeks.

Not anemic, but I have the same issue with my skin. I have several of those under-the-skin wounds from wrenching on the trailer we're building.

And I'm sure we can all remember the saying "Don't trust anyone over 30" from the 1960s-1970s...

I remember my dad having it.

Now I've got slowly receding hairline ON MY SHINS, replaced with crackly/ashy skin. So far, no amount of lotion has helped.

And unless you went to college, you had just one graduation at the end of high school. Not from every grade along the way.

Some places don’t even call it HR anymore. Almost full circle back to “People” in some places.
