^^^My best friend and I both worked at gas stations. We'd brag about cleaning a windshield with the sponge/wiper thing without leaving any streaks. Small accomplishments.

My granddad would send me to the woods to cut a switch when I had done something wrong. It took me waaay too long to realize that a thicker switch didn't hurt near as much as a skinny little one.

I remember that sound well. I was the kid who pumped the gas, checked the tires and oil, and washed the windows....and gave Blue Chip Stamps and usually some type of sports glass for 10 gallons or more. The price per gallon at the time? $0.33 for regular.
