2/28 - My Garage: Scheduled for Production;
Genius says Week 10, then calling up a week or so after told pushed to week 12
3/22 - My Garage: Production Begins, VIN assigned
4/12 - My Garage: Entering Assembly Line; Genius says this means Assembly should also be completed by today or tomorrow?

Next up - Quality check and transportation?

Can anyone suggest if its safe to assume car should be at the dealership by mid-May?

I would assume end of may

Not safe to assume anything. Your car still has to make it through the rest of the gauntlet. It seems tragically common to get stuck at random stages including transport for weeks.

Took my build a month to get through QC. Also a month to get from Mexico to NJ. Hope things have improved and that your car flies to you.

Anyone know if certain dealerships get preferred builds ahead of others? I'm wondering if I should start looking around at other dealerships. I'm pretty close to NYC, so it crossed my mind. Seems like some people have ordered after me and have been farther in the process than me.

I could be 100% wrong, but it might be completely random. I've looked at numerous timelines and they are all over the place. Meanwhile mine is pretty streamlined with what seems like no delays.

It looks like there is a ship due into Veracruz in two days, the Glovis Stella. There is also the Glovis Sun, which is currently en route to Altamira from Freeport, I’d guess just before heading to Veracruz. So there are a couple of options for ships to be heading up the east coast from Mexico soon, fingers crossed everyone “ready for transport” or at the port, will find themselves on one of those.

I'm about to go drive down to Baltimore.. and liberate my car... the Glovis Captain has been in Baltimore for what feels like weeks (it's been like 3 days) and it's due to be in NJ on the 15th (according to Genius) or the 16th according to publish ship schedule... either way it is so annoying how much time it's spending there!

this is just a rant... feel free to ignore

Seriously....assuming I'm (we're) even on that ship...it's spent longer in Baltimore than any prior port.

The port itself is probably just backed way up with ships to unload.

what's crazy is the ship has stopped at 3 different ports in Baltimore.. i assume each port was a different auto manufacturer

I wish I were in your shoes. I have to start the process all over again. Just hope your car doesn't get damaged.

i know your situation is heart breaking... it's a cautionary tale for me.. i keep saying i won't get too excited until i see my car.. and really inspect it. I think there's a chance.. if i had to do it all over again.. i might get a M440i convertible
