A combination like the driver-view iD7 with a low-latency Tesla style center tablet would be the best for me. Not this weird 2 screens in 1 thing they have stretched over the dash. It looks good but many things can still be improved

Agreed, but I'm willing to accept the less aesthetically pleasing ID to gain the performance. Basically an "it is what it is" approach. The performance is the most important aspect for me.

EDIT, The only exception I would make to hearing something directly from BMW would be from the automotive press, aka BMWBLOG, Car & Driver, Road & Track, and Motor Trend.

Those of us that the are dealer based typically have access to subscription-required Automotive News. To-date there has been nothing mentioned and if there was a delay AN would be the source I would expect to see it after being advised of a production delay from BMW first.

I follow a certain unrelated industry closely and have a handful of leakers/reporters/etc. that I entrust to provide information that is almost always correct in one way or another. Let’s just call them insiders.

Surprised that the BMW world doesn’t have a pipeline of information that could be interrupted as more likely true than not. At least I haven’t come across that group yet.

I won’t trust some random on FB but I would be willing to lend credit to an accurate source with a track record who isn’t BMW corporate themselves.

Is it at all possible the reference above has to do with choosing the Carbon Package wherein it states on VMW's build site that the Carbon Package will be available to order in March 2023 (possibly due to the cf seats?) as opposed to those not ordering the complete $9,000 package and just going with the cf trim. Not stirring the pot, just a thought...
