They do not show up to the dealer with 0 miles on the clock. 2-4 miles is about the norm. Edit, after PDI 8-12 miles is the norm at our center. You do know they are placed in a test both and ran through their paces after assembly? There is not a specifically related video to the G87, but there are of other BMWs being tested after assembly. You should be able to find one on YouTube. FYI, They are also driven off the assembly line under their own power. You are fairly green to the process aren’t you? As an example: how do you test a drivetrain to its capacity and then tell people they can't drive it over 4500rpm for 600mi? Like some amount of immediate punishment is good, but then some isn't? |

I’d say break-in is more for the nut behind the wheel. And maybe for lawyers.
But I still break-in the engine on my new cars as stated in the manual. |

The dealership that has had my deposit since summer 2022 hasn’t been transparent with me regarding what spot in line I am, all I know is I’m one of the first 10, yet I haven’t heard anything from them and SA tells me it’ll be a while before I get my allocation. This is a high volume M dealer in South Florida

But which one (I am in line at Braman but not Miami). I was #3 when I placed my order/deposit and was told last week that should have my allocation by end of April (he was basing it on the fact that they received two allocations the first release and expect to be skipped over this upcoming release so end of April is their next "expected" allocation). While that all sounds great, no celebration until I get the call (or email, text, etc.)... |

Nevermind. Just don't answer. I looked through your thread history. You believe M2 production has not started because your dealer says so. You also believe all dealers are trash and no one can convince you otherwise. You do not wish to actually learn so there is no need trying to convince you of anything.
