Killer shots, DC and ED.

DC, the clarity in that shot is stunning. Much of that credit may go to the lens, but the air is also cooperating there. Really amazing.

Interesting that you think that, but it was dusty and hazy. DxO has a Preset called ClearView that removes haze. (It increases contrast mainly, but it does a couple of other things that I haven't figured out). As you see, it works amazingly well.

Here's a shot, looking the other way and emphasizing the haze (BTW, I love the photographer up there on a sand ridge, emphasizing the scale of these dunes. BTW2, this is with my 70-200/f4 IS):

I cannot even imagine, I was trying to follow a bunch of Turkey Vultures with a 300mm. I would have never been able to track them with a 700mm!
