It’s a joke to call it an LCI.

Why call it LCI, nothing changed other than a better tune and added paint colors.

That 5k is for a full range palette of colors which isnt what we’re getting on the m2.

We are getting preselected few as individual so hopefully it cost less.

F80 got an LCI with not a great deal of difference until the LCI-2 when it got the new headlights. Doesn't seem too unusual to replace the dash design, idrive, steering wheel, colours, power and call it an LCI.

Is it normal for BMW add a bunch of stuff like this to a model that has only been out for less than a year and a half? Not going to lie, I am a tad bit salty as a 23 owner to miss out on some of this stuff. Especially if the power bump is an actual power bump and not just correcting for the 23 and 24s already dynoing higher than listed.

I wouldn't call it a "facelift", the only difference is black emblems with silver trim. Nothing about the exterior or interior design of the vehicle is different.

They seem very similar to me. What makes the M3/M4 so much better for you?

There’s some dash trim that’s different. But yeah, there’s no facelift, lol.

Steering/handling feels more direct, precise and feels tighter. So makes the experience more engaging

The power difference is noticeable

Overall if you can find an M3/ M4 x drive with some miles in it, it is really the better buy around the same price range as a new m2

can’t believe that cheap horrid bracket for tv screen on several models … very lazy and cheap design. How much more would it cost to have it in the dash like other brands??

I guess nobody remembers they did the exact same minor facelift/ interior update last generation with the f87 literally with the exact same timing of 2 years from launch 🙄. Then right after they gifted us with the m2 comp s55. Same Same same we seen this before

My G80 Comp test drive I had 2 nights ago was jaw-dropping. The front end of that car - the whole thing - is put together. Felt SO good, all the time.

They have been a standalone option in some markets since the beginning. It is just a decision by BMW in a given country on what they want to market.
