I bought the WeatherTech m240 Mats and I am now returning those.

The mat floats about 3/4” above the floorboard at the seat end. That was going to bug me.

What was terrible about the shipping however was the packaging - they really folded up the mats to shove them in to their shipping boxes. I understand needing to make the item compact to ship it, but they were really folded haphazardly, and arrived super creased and bent out of shape. I had to leave them out baking in the sun to form them back, and even then I'm not sure they returned to their proper shape. This isn't mentioned anywhere in their documentation as far as I've seen.

Fitment - they don't call these floor liners for nothing; they really do cover nearly every carpeted surface in the car. I'm not convinced that's a great thing - they include some clips meant to affix the mats to the trim panels (I don't have them installed in the photos below) but even so there are some areas where it doesn't quite sit flush with the panels of the car.

Perhaps the biggest problem is the clutch/dead pedal area - it gets a little bunched up in some sports, and being that its' designed for a G42, doesn't appear to have proper clearance for the clutch pedal. With the clutch fully depressed, it hits the mat before it hits the clutch stop - I fear this may cause issues engaging the clutch switch for gear shift assist.

I was least impressed with the trunk mat for the price - fitment is good but not great, I wish it was possible to mold it into the trim seams better.

All in all they do feel like a premium product, and at least look pretty nice. I'm not totally convinced on the fitment however - coverage is good, perhaps almost too good.
Did the trunk mat move around or what was your issue exactly? It looks pretty decent in the photo.

Put the M Performance Floor Mat Set from Autotecknic in today:

https://autotecknic.com/products/bmw...ap&ref=yotpo_8

BMW saved $10 on their OEM mats for a $264 profit margin. 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

All good though; feels like I gained 10HP.

Even the trunk mat was a nice fit. If you don't mind the looks they are pretty decent all weather mats.
+1 on the 3D mats. I've used them in several of my cars, one being an X3 M40i, and another a M340i. They fit perfect, stay in place, last/durable, and are easy to keep clean.

If they don't need to be an all weather, and carpet is good for you, then the M performance carpet mats are really nice. A quick 30 second vacuum a day/every couple will keep them fresh and new looking.

Curious if the cargo tie downs are accessible? Looks like those covers are removable maybe? Nice bonus that they created little cargo pocket looking sections that might keep small items from rolling around.

Looks great but does it move around if you put something heavy on top and push it in? Does it attach to anything in the trunk area or does it just lay on top?

It lays on top and has a unique backing that’s almost like a variant of the prickly grip side of Velcro. Doesn’t move around at all that I’ve experienced. Plus it fits every little nook in the trunk so it couldn’t move if it wanted to I think! Lol

Thank you for confirming! That was my biggest concern after buying the BMW trunk liner which slides around like crazy making it pretty much useless. Order placed! Cheers!

Got some Tuxmats. Not much squeaking with the clutch, only minor rubbing on the left wall/foot rest.

Has anyone installed the 3D mats in a 6 MT? And if so were there fitment issues?

I got the Matwise floor mats. More than happy with them, great price, great quality(so far). The red and blue stitching is just lovely. I highly recommend those. And you can keep the stock floormats stored brand new.

Nice! I didn’t see a g87 option, did you do a custom build with the M2 logo?

I contacted WeatherTech because I saw that the 2023 G87 floor liners were listed as Coming Soon. I'm not sure if that's always been the case or not, so I sent them a message asking about compatibility with the MT, to which good news, they said yes.

Thank you for contacting WeatherTech.

The Floor Liner that is in design will be made for a 2023 BMW M2 G87 Coupe with manual transmission. The product that is being made will need roughly 4-6 months to be completed as long as there are no bump in the design process. I do want to mention that this product hasn't been approved for use in the 2024 application so once it is available to purchase, there would be no manufacture defect warranty since we haven't approved for use. Only the 30 return window would apply.

Sorry, I missed this reply. For some reason it didn't alert me.

I don't actually have the part number handy, but it is these: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/1...HER-FLOOR-MATS, making sure to get the correct one for either a manual or auto depending on your car.

... and this (for the trunk)

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/1...OMPARTMENT-MAT

I think you can find the actual part numbers starting at this link

As mentioned previously, the styling is a little "odd", but they do work well. The trunk mat isn't ideal for me (I'd rather something that covers the WHOLE trunk, rather than just the center), but it is okay.

I got these in a few days after getting the car, rather than waiting months for something to be available from a 3rd party.

The Matwise mats look good. I found these from Autowin, anybody have any experience with them?

I love the oem all weather but I don't see a split for MT.

Thanks. Yes there is the G40 option on their website. The M2 logo i had them made it locally and had them glue/stitched to the floormat.

The end result looks OEM. And the floormats have a great price. I highly recommend the Matwise.
