Not even remotely interested.
Not hating, but I want a 6 Speed. I already have a heavy, bloated all wheel drive; i4 M50. If I was looking to replace that with ICE...

Interesting. I still think the car will need more M badges.

Do you know when it's likely to start production? I was hoping for model, and not calendar, year 2026 but that article hints at late 2026 which means early 2027 before any reach the UK. Thanks again.

The only reason I didn’t go for the full M2 is because of xdrive and because of the waiting times back in 2023 for them. I wonder what position the xdrive m2 will be in BMWs lineup as there’s a lot of commonness amongst the lineup. Considering weight and all compared to the M4, the M2 xDrive seems like the option to go for, for a sporty ‘pocket rocket’ coupe from BMW |

I assume it's mostly chatter but anything is possible in these uncertain times. I'm just sitting back and watching it all unfold from my ever-changing driver's seat Edit: 2024 is more than 1/2 over so it would be surprising to see an M2 xdrive Prototype before 2026. It would be nice though. I wouldn't mind seeing this one come to life (but I'm not ready to drink the EV Kool Aid just yet. It would have to be an ICE car or light-weight hybrid at best) Thanks Horatiu! lol

Awesome. I would buy a M2 xdrive. It will be a great platform to modify with some big power. I’m over the new BMWs being heavy which is the norm nowadays. The modern manual BMWs are clunky and not an option I would personally choose. Personally, I would get a lotus emira or older gen Porsche if I wanted a lighter manual driver’s car.

Are people really going to drive a 4,200lb automatic M2 just to have xDrive? Why not just get an M4 at that point?

Where'd you get 4,200 . Should be around 3900-4000 lbs with X-drive
