Yeah, maybe just LCI for me. CS seems a bit out of reach.

Shouldn't we be picking out our Porsches' and not our next BMW's colour?.....

I was REALLY hoping for Techno Violet. But this makes an excellent regular option paint color. If full Individual were offered....and I was going to keep this car....I really want an Oxford Green2 Metallic. Wowza.
Individual will be for the M5 Touring I want to try for

"Given that the base model is already fine-tuned to an impressive 474 horsepower, there’s a strong likelihood that the forthcoming G87 M2 CS variant, which has been observed in testing, will surpass the 500-horsepower threshold." Does it already have 474 hp, or is it getting 473 hp, which is it? And from multiple dynos we know it already has over 473 bhp, so it's really not getting a power increase at all, just marketing? It does need some new colors (most of the lineup does). I also don't understand why they don't offer Carbon Black which is so much better than Black Sapphire? |

For arguments sake let's say the M2 in its current form which is rated at 453hp is actually putting down 473hp. MY25 with updated +20hp tune will be putting down more than that. It's that simple. |

it will be interested to see how much the new model will lower the current prices.
base low option G87 on autotrader for 61k... around the price of several other low mile f87 comps. we might see used G87 base and F87 comps (with more miles) for the same money in a year or two.

What other BMWs (particularly M) cars have gotten power and/or torque changes from one MY to the next (without being a new model or generation, obviously)

The only time you need more HP is when you are doing a track day in a group that only allows passing on the straights and you are behind that annoying Corvette Z06 or 911 Turbo S that can't drive for s%#$ in the corners but blasts off on the straights without letting you pass.
But this M2 has more than enough power on the street and on track for plenty of fun. More power would just be for bragging rights. But hey, we know we all want more power. BMW and Porsche perfected the formula of giving us exactly another 20HP with each new refresh. And we fall for it every time

If that is the case, when is the best time to put down a deposit? My dealerships have stated that they do not take deposits until a car is announced. I am trying to prepare for a future announcement and just want to be ready/plan for it. Thanks as always. EDIT: I saw the first page...production starts August 2025. How early before production does BMW announce new variants? Also, how long has it taken guys who already have the G87 to get their cars after submitting their orders? Sorry for all the questions. It depends on the dealerships allocation spot and what your build is, the more carbon fiber you have seems to delay the build (especially the buckets) it can be as fast as with in a couple of months or be as slow as mine which took about 10 months, it kept going from finding a production spot to order received for about 8 months then I got the VIN and the car in about 2 1/2 months.
