I guess that could be another gripe. What possible reason could there be for excluding us?

1. Hate to say it but Throttle House was right. This car was designed to be an automatic. In 3rd/4th and low rpm's, the power isn't what it should be.

2. Really missing having physical short cut keys. Having a 2-3 step process every time I want to toggle between different media modes is annoying.

3. My own personal mistake, didn't need to get the HUD. I find myself turning it off at night.

4. Wish the steering was heaver.

5. Fuel tank size sucks. Of course we can't cry about that and want a lighter car.

EDIT -
As a disclosure due to the reaction of my first point: this car has yet to be pushed or be put in "sports plus" and still way below the break-in period so take it with a grain of salt.
You haven’t put it into Sport Plus yet which has the steering set to Sport as default but changing the steering setting to “Sport” in any mode should give you a heavier steering feel.

Hell yes. I’m actually going to sell mine next year, I’ll save for it you. By then you’ll have had time to learn to ride and really appreciate it.

Nope, There is room and it could have a longer extension but they just didn't make it long enough.
My Chevy Silverado visors can damn near work for the rear windows it extends so long. Its not huge deal just kinda annoying when the sun hits just right.

I had an R6 and can highly recommend both Yamaha and that displacement as a starter (I think the "600cc" is actually pushing 700 now). Topped out at 165mph, and you could throw it into a turn like a pedal bike. But just a caution, motorcycles really are dangerous. And it's not just that you can ride it like a bat out of hell. I don't know how many times I was just cruising and someone would pull into my lane out of nowhere. Half the time, that great braking and acceleration was a safety feature for dodging absent-minded drivers. People just don't see you

Edit: to add to this though, I'm ordering an M2 because I miss the thrills of that bike. I just want those in a little bit safer, more versatile package

+1. BMW Motorrad makes some beautiful bikes and I've always wanted one, but never will I ride in a motorcycle outside a controlled environment like a track. Most drivers on public roads are way too irresponsible and I would never entrust my life to them. A fast car is cheaper than a lifetime of pain from a motorcycle accident.

That’s what stopped me over the years from buying and learning to ride. I see most gruesome injuries from motorcycle accidents in my line of work.
I do ride an electric dirtbike, and that will have to suffice I think.

A starter should be based on the style of motorcycle you would want to ride. An R6 is not a starter bike for lost people. I have owned a few over the years and currently ride a sport touring (2014 triumph trophy se). Riding in traffic is risky and hasn’t gotten better with distracted drivers - and most are. For those that ride on the street the awareness and level of attention you gain is immense.

If you decide to ride, determine the style of riding you want to do (cruiser, sport, touring, adventure, …) then talk about a starter bike. Btw, I love the RnineT but would likely choose a different equivalent and not deal with the boxer maintenance.

Seems we got from filling up in NJ to motorcycles. Sorry.

Have an anti-gripe.
G87, for me, has the most comfortable open driver window aerodynamics of the cars I’ve driven. Even at highway speeds it’s comfortable with the window down, and my hair barely moves. I’d imagine that’s good for those that track and need window down.
Pleasant surprise.

I was saving this line for the next person that says Supra is better,

"Well at least I can roll down my windows."

Seriously.
Immediately noticeable. Why is my ear not taking a pounding and I can still hear the radio. That’s what it was in the f80.

Really? Coulda swore the default for steering on Sport Plus is “Sport” on mine but I’ll check again. Then again, I did play around with the settings so maybe not

I currently have two Boxer motorcycles, the Rnine and a 1250 RS, the 1200cc Boxer in the Rnine has been around for forever and is a tank. I’ve had different iterations of Boxers over 25 years, never have I encountered an issue.

I will agree it’s a large displacement to learn on but many have done it. It’s an extremely well balanced bike and handles amazingly well. My partner who had never riden before rode it down the block without issue solely on being talked through it. She does of course know how to drive a manual.

Yes, drivers are generally awful and where I live 60+% are on TikTok or Pornhub behind the wheel. Just like driving you have to anticipate and stay within your limits. I’ve riden the streets of NYC 7 months of the year on an almost daily basis over the last decade and haven’t been knocked off yet.

But I digress, back to the gripes.

Oh my bad, I meant changing with the M1/M2 buttons, not the engine. I misspoke

Ok. I have a silly gripe after 30 minutes of on-road ownership. Why isn’t the M1 mode button on the right side of the steering wheel? I guess I’m mapping my usual to M2.

Curious to see how people use M1 and M2..., like, which is "beast mode?" I personally use M1 is the "slightly more" mode and M2 as the "attack" mode.

M1 I have sport engine but comfort everything else. M2 I have sport+, MDM mode, sport+ suspension, comfort brakes/steering.

I haven’t thought about it too far honestly. I’ll probably have one setting with sport drivetrain and one setting with comfort drivetrain. Colorado roads are rough, so I might not even take the car out of comfort damping, specially since I have the HAS.

Both M1 and M2 sport plus, which I drive 100% of time.
M1 is MDM
M2 even more aggressive traction slider, maybe a 4.

I always drive in M1, unless extreme weather, then I turn TC to full on.

Is this ever gonna stop?
Is this rubber residue or brake dust?
