Well, you have a stunning E46 M3 to drive around in if need be. I’ll be collecting bits from the new year, wheels are hard to pick for this car. I tend to sway for rays / volks but need to see a few cars or photoshop before I get some..

Reminds me a bit of the faux carbon insert on my old E92 m3 dash, I actually liked that effect a lot

Can I ask where you got the dry carbon steering wheel trims?
Do you have matching dash/console trims and if so are they ID8 versions?
Have you linked for these items also? 👍

Got them from Auto ID Choose dry option

I bought a cheap set of new genuine console trims and im selling the dash part on ebay (i am leaving the ID8 illuminated dash trim in the car) i got them all for £520 so over £300 cheaper than normal so im not to much out of pocket.

Just noticed that earlier in the thread!
The steering wheel trims look pretty good, how close a match for the MPerformance dry carbon are they? They're sold out on AID at present but going to mail them to see if/when they will be in stock again. AutoID are pretty good outfit too, I already have their CS rear spoiler and front splitter and the quality is top notch! Can't wait for the OEM dry carbon kit for RHD ID8 to be available in the UK, not a huge fan of the M colours on the ID8 dash, they changed to new ambient lighting dash after my build was locked in.

Just got this email from my dealer (ordered Sept 9th)

"I have just spoken to BMW Sales support and have advised me that there has been a hold put on production for all M240i’s"

What the Actual F*******, is this for real, if so I’ll cancel my order too and just buy used - any info on why they are stopping production? I know quite a lot of people have complained about the clunk from the rear, is that the reason?

Good knows what's going on, apparently they will have more information in a week, I'll post up if I know anything more.

That sucks, I’ll call Park Lane tomorrow to see if they are aware of any stoppages too. I was hoping to have mine for the summer months but I’m not holding out hope.

May just get a track car for some summer outings whilst I wait it out.

Maybe its something to do with the rear of the car making a thumping sound and they finally figured it out? Lets hope because my 23 does it.

Interesting. Just M240i?? Issues specific to the 240?? Not stopping production of 230 models??

Wow, this post is the first I've seen two people mention a rear end clunk/thump with the M240i.

Well if it's true they stopped production and it's only the M240i due to a issue, I'd rather they stop production and fix it before I get my car than have a car with an issue that requires me bringing it back in to fix.

Thanks! I haven't checked out that section yet thinking those were more for talking about mods and I'm only in the ordering stages and probably not going to do much suspension change.

Wow 8 pages since March of last year but only two pages on this post on main forum.

https://g42.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1964845

Maybe would have been better to post on main forum to get more attention sooner.

Got an email after I chased mine and got this (I only ordered late December)

Your Vehicle is still in Order bank and hasn’t yet been allocated a build slot. We do predict this may be due to ‘Model Actions’ however we haven’t yet been given any information on this.
