Going back and forth between BG and AW. I'm in the order bank with AW, but it would be my 4th AW M car. Still can't seem to commit to BG though. I think it looks great in lower lighting conditions but not in sunlight. Definitely looks better on smaller cars vs. huge SUVs though...

IMHO, both look nice, but I would say it depends on how long you plan to keep the car. I think BG might be a fad that will wear out soon enough. If you really love BG and plan to offload the car before this color is outdated, go for it. If you want a timeless classic, go AW.

I definitely agree with you that colors like this will become a "Niche" color as time goes on. Hopefully it won't turn into the forest/emerald green fiasco of the late 1990's! Oh, how my mouth watered for a green Integra GSR in green with the tan interior. Today, we look at it the same way we view paisley and corduroy. UGH! LOL.

But, what do you do when BMW gives you no good color options? I remember when there was always a couple of standard colors in the mix. My E46 was in StahlGrau., and E92 in Space grey. Timeless colors that are now gone, except for people paying wads of cash to do the custom paint option. And we don't even get that here....

Odder too is no rich or deep colors on hand. With a design as daring as this new M2, it would have been nice to key it down a bit with a deep blue or rich grey metallic. I ordered my M2 in BG just because there was nothing else that called to me. Kinda sad that BMW does this.....

BG tends to look fairly washed out in direct sunlight, especially for a metallic paint. Of course, TR does the same thing.

Yeah it looks great and shifts hues in various lighting conditions.

I think the grays (Brooklyn, Nardo, Lime Rock, etc.) are a great match with the carbon roof.

Yea, looks like they are chrome and the headlights of this car look to be non-shadowline as well. Here is comparison of non-shadowline headlights to shadowline
