Deposit placed on 3/19
Order placed on 8/4 Production scheduled for week #3 Java Green special order pushed me back from week #38. So, 17 week delay for special color. |

I put down a deposit (not refundable) on 8/3 and was told to anticipate waiting 30-60 days for a VIN. From what I understand, the wait times for special colors are tracking with what BMW states on their website so far, so I'm expecting 10-14 weeks additional production time in total since I ordered java green (but maybe it's more like 17 weeks given the comment above).

On your current waiting list - are there people ahead of you? Is the dealership you are going through an M Certified dealer? There are a lot of things that can decrease or increase your chances of getting an allocation. Just be patient. FYI I am now finally #1 on the waiting list for the next M2 allocation at the dealer I am going through. BMW is still shipping the remaining MY24's and have only scheduled production for a handful of MY25's. It is still early in the game. Just be patient. |

More like 30-60 days for a production number. You can't get a VIN without a production number. Until you get a.production number, do t even think about trying to guess dates and time. I'm currently waiting for an allocation. My dealer is an M Certified dealer and always has at least one M on the floor. They just sold their M3 and M4 and have an M8 Coupe and an M8 GC ready for sale. Anyway, they don't anticipate any August allocations and expect the next allocation in September.

I have a production number as well, but to be honest it's not clear to me if that has been reset with the special order paint.

Then 30-60 is possible depending on howany other JG cars get ordered. You won't get a VIN until they are ready for a production run of the green.
Individual colors get batched together so they need X number of that color before they will schedule production.

I ordered on 7/25/24. No vin, but I have a prod. no. I also ordered the Z58 port option, & M carbon roof. If it takes less then a year I’ll be a happy camper. I had originally ordered a A91 Supra m/t when it was first announced, but unfortunately got the run around from my dealership so here I am purchasing my first BMW. Though I did own a auto 2022 Supra 3.0 premium.

I asked my dude to remove the wireless charger and add Alcantara wheel today for my already color confirmed individual, hopefully it goes through
I have been having serious fomo about the wheel and the charger is apparently trash. |

Anyone else here with Week 38 production?
I ordered voodoo blue and have a production number, but really hoping it won't be seriously delayed with the individual paint since it seems like voodoo blue is one of the more popular colors. Dealer is hoping no delay but has no clue. Looking forward to getting a VIN so I can start using the my garage app instead of the website that sometimes loads. Does the BMW Genius usually have more info than the dealership?

Even "Scheduled for Production" is not a lock. Nothing is truly locked until you have a VIN. Since VIN is assigned by BMW AG, the dealer or Genius don't have any detailed information that really suffers.
