That's the interior of a standard Corolla. It has "options" like the leather, etc.

No Rain Checks
Introducing the first-ever GR Corolla. Born from a passion of motorsports and infused with the DNA of Toyota Gazoo Racing, this exclusively manual-transmission, rally-built hot hatch is ready for what Mother Nature serves up. Track-tested and turbocharged with 300 hp and GR-FOUR All-Wheel-Drive (AWD), the rowdiest member of the GR family won’t need a rain check. GR Corolla is bursting onto the scene fall 2022.

Performance
GR Corolla sports a 1.6L turbocharged engine with 300 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT). Showcasing its capabilities to put power to the ground, its GR-FOUR AWD system automatically distributes power from 50/50 up to 30/70 front and rear for ultimate traction come rain or shine. And by enhancing your drive with Normal, Sport and Track Modes, this hot hatch is more than ready to rally.

Design
Outfitted with an aggressive front grille, flared fenders to accommodate a wide track, rear diffuser and functional vents for enhancing aerodynamics and cooling—there’s no need for GR Corolla to fight for attention. Inside, a GR leather-trimmed steering wheel and unique gauge cluster elevates your excitement on any track. GR Corolla Launch Edition pours on the details even further with a forged carbon-fiber roof, vented hood, matte-black 18-in. wheels * and upgraded Ultrasuede® * and synthetic leather-trimmed seats.

Handling
For whatever road you take, GR Corolla’s circuit-tuned suspension and Michelin® Pilot® Sport 4S tires * won’t let harsh road conditions rain on your parade. GR Corolla Launch Edition features front and rear Torsen® * limited-slip differential for a better grip while upgraded performance brakes help you dig into corners. It’s time to find your new comfort zone.

Toyota family growing up, in fact, I'm the blacksheep for going German the past 8 years, ha. Almost went Supra (had one as kid), but this GR Corolla may be a great addition if it doesn't look to racerboi in real life. Contacting two dealerships this morn about msrp/no hidden fee pricing. The GRC forum has a list.
Does it come with a vape pen or flat brim hat?

Like the overall thing, but that exhaust is horrid. I need a hitch rack to carry bikes and that design is going to make that impossible.

I took a launch edition slot at my local dealer.
Passed on the track edition, no rear seats.
Passed Standard no carbon roof..etc. and no Limited torsen front and rear

Good thing the GM and SM is my inner circle of friend.

As a 2020 STI owner who wanted a hatch but the timing never worked out, getting hard feels for this right now. However, after just finishing a 400whp build a few months ago, I can't say I would jump ship to do it all over again with a different car, even though this platform is mighty capable. My STI is great fun, and 400 wheel with proper top end is kind of my limit for useable/practical street power. I could see owners with milder builds heavily considering the GR Corolla though.

Regardless, this looks to be a damn fine car and a proper spiritual successor to the golden age Evo/STI. My clutch knee is starting to give me tingles, so if I were to jump, I would need to move to something with 2 pedals to limit potential future damage to my knee. Something like the IS 500 or RS3. Never thought I'd see the day that I'd say that, but my knee comes first

Manual only (at launch at least) Hoped they'd do a DCT like the Hyundai Veloster N, MB A45 AMG, and Golf R.

That tri-tail pipe will definitely be polarizing. As I read elsewhere, comparing the prices of the GR Yaris and using it to forecast the GR Corolla isn't quite correct since the Yaris platform was more bespoke and much more aluminum whereas the Corolla already had a shared platform. I'm betting $50k.

$50k?! Haha. If it's over $40k, I'll be shocked. The CTR should remain well under $40k and the Golf R is $45k with only the DSG as an option.

The awd system is cool, and there are tuned Yarises getting over 400hp on pump gas. But the headroom on the Golf R I have on order (first one was on the Felicity Ace) even with additional weight should make it much more capable.
