Working with a German wheel manufacturer when I take delivery in the spring. We have some thoughts on what can be done but for now we just have to wait.

For reference, I purchased a two pairs of Blizzak LM-32 for winter tires with intention to fit them on the stock wheels and get a better looking set of wheels for summer.

Front: 225/40R-19
Rear: 265/35R-19

The rears are wider than stock, and certainly wide for winters but tirerack has very limited availability of winter tires at 19 inches and within spec for 9.5inch wheels.

When you take the 9.5" wheels off, can you tell us what the offset is?

Why would you want to switch out the studs? Original ones don't work with those wheels?

What kind of rubber are you going to mount on those? Would love to see them mounted up on the car.

Long story. Front fitment a little different from rear, and I want to fix it. I add 5mm spacer, but needed longer bolts for them. OZ use ball seat, and I can’t find this 14*1.25 bolts. That’s why stud conversion with conversion to M14*1.5 thread.
Second reason - don’t like bolts.
Installation very simple, just need to screw in with thread lock.
It will be 255/35, not sure about brand yet.

Perets, very nice looking car and color combination...I almost got the black with red calipers myself. Wheels are gorgeous too. Thanks for the update.

I have 255s on all four corners with OZ rims. Tires are Michelin PSS (PS4 not available at the time) The rears poke what seems to be about 5mm more than the fronts. I'd prefer a little more "tuck" in the rear, but can live with the fitment. I just love this 230 and I may add power with a proper ECU tune. Car's still plenty quick for the street and handles sooooo well.

Got purple on the lift at work yesterday. Here is some photos. Front clearance is pretty tight but there is room in the rear for 1”+. I think a 275 rear is easily possible.

First photo is the rear and second is the front. Tried to highlight the gap too

Front: 8,0J x 19" ET 27 mm
Rear: 8,5J x 19" ET 40 mm

Front: 225/40 R19
Rear: 255/35 R19

Thinking about doing this also. Want to run a square setup for now, and with what seems to be limited wheel options at the moment. Sizing the wheels to fit the rear then running a 5-10mm spacer in front to correct the offset. Is this safe to do?

Yeah, I think you'd be good with a 5mm spacer up front. You could try 10mm, but I'm only guessing what the fender engagement would look like. I am super curious as I think 5mm is better up front than just what I have with my wheels.

But in short, your idea of making the rears work, then adjusting with a spacer up front is a solid approach, IMO.

Finally got my ssr installed. 19*9 et25. Pilot sport 4s bmw* 255/35 all around. Front end looks good. Rear end stick little bit out. Needs some lowering for that setup. Option two - ztk fenders.
