Mine has now slipped to a week 1 May build, 2 months, oh well.

Mine will most likely be the same I guess (identical cars too) as I was week 1 March.

We might get standard badges now, which I actually prefer on the AW.

There is an M2 and M3 Touring doing the rounds, currently in QLD. Had a good climb over it recently. Those purchasing a G87 should be happy with the view from the drivers seat.

That sounds promising indeed given the Nationals are on the Gold Coast this year.

Two updates.

1. M2 (press car) coming to Sydney at the end of Feb. I will need to find time to check it out.
2. My car is still last week Feb production with code 111. Waiting for 112 and 150.

That's great news, I will be there the day it arrives. I wonder if it will be the pre-production car currently in Melbourne or a new one. My guess is that it will be new 2023 production model. When i was at Rushcutters BMW a few weeks ago they mentioned they would have an Auto and a manual version soon.

Same - couple of weeks now, good little distraction. Can't drive the car unfortunately (reviews embargo still up). Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same car - dealer reckons it will be there for no longer than 24-48 hours before moving on.

What do you mean? Comfortable cockpit? Plenty of greenhouse? The car is ugly outside?

Same here. But dealer is asking for an April spot for the first 3 bimers. Let's see.

Wow congrats, that must be (likely) in the first batch of Aus cars with the BMW dealer launch cars for April.

Thanks Looking Like June into Sydney. I don't think we will see too many on Australian roads before then, not including dealer cars.

No info on the demo coming to Sydney late February from my dealer unfortunately.

I am largely a Porsche man with things like Gt3 RS, Gt3 Touring, Boxster GTS 4.0, etc in my garage. BMW is my second favorite brand having previously owned M2, X5, 335i, etc. Last year I picked up a G84 M4 and have been enjoying it very much.

Last week I ordered a M2 to add to the garage. Configuring the car was incredibly simple compared to buying a Porsche as there were only 3 options boxes to tick compared to Porsches 50+.

The two main things that disappointed me were the color options and the wheel options.

i was pretty much hooked on TR which looked good in the photos until I saw a new M3 in this color on the weekendÂ….and I didnÂ’t like it at all.
In the flesh, to my eyes at least, it’s more like a rust red or oxidized ketchup color rather than a “sporting” red so changed my config to white.

With regards to the wheels, i aleady have the only wheels you can get on the M2 on my M4 and do not want the same wheels again. So i am now trying to source a set of the gold/bronze Performance Parts wheels.

I am really looking forward to getting the car and tracking it. I also have a GT4 RS coming around the same time so they will a make for an interesting pair on the track.

A couple of very quick questions
1. Who are you and how do you have so many cars?
2. When can I take one for a ride?

With regards to the colour options, unfortunately this is a direct result of the cars being produced in Mexico. It might stay this way for a little while. With regards to the options on the car, UK and US have a lot more customisation options - for AU, given it's a smaller market, it's a higher spec'd car with the price increments baked in.

I'm told performance wheels will eventually become available but not sure when. Reckon White is a great colour, I've gone for Black since my current 330i is white and time for a change. Wasn't keen on TR or ZB so it was Grey or Black for me.

On 2, I'll take that. Maybe leaves some room for it becoming a possibility. Maybe a Sydney G87 meetup once we get our cars. Maybe.

Soooo I’ve had my order in since October.
My build date was 6th of March. It’s now changed to 17th of July!
I see most people have only moved a week or two.
I’m spewing… anyone else experience months worth of a delay?

That's a bad delay. Did they give a reason?

Nope - generic “it’s happening to a lot of customers”
