I wish they had gone with some larger taillights, totally fill out those corners and I think it would look a little be more cohesive, embrace the boxy look
That light blue is just not a good color unless you get exactly the right angle and lighting. From the leaks it really washed out a lot of the lines. |

Oh damn. They put in boxed fender flares that are more than a passing nod to the E30 M3. Well done BMW.

The aesthetic design still looks convoluted to me but the overall spec package is a sweet combination of parts. I'm feeling ambivalent on this ride.. 😗

Total transformation between the leaked photos and this. I love it, can't wait to see it in person this weekend!

Don't get me wrong. If I wasn't buying my porky i4 M50, I'd buy one.

Looks better than the leaks but how is no one talking about how this weighs more than the G80 manual??? I'm absolutely flabbergasted 😶

Some more images, including against the new 2023 BMW M 1000 R for size perspective. And concept drawings/sketches.

I love fender flairs on the past M3/4's but these looks a bit too swollen in the photos of the red model, almost like an aftermarket body kit with how boxy some of the pieces are. The last M2 is definitely more of a natural looker to me, will have to see this one in person to decide.

Congratulations to BMW for managing to add 300 lbs to the purest M car in the lineup.
