Wow, what a thread!! Long story short I had bad day and got a less than happy text and tossed my phone... it left the worlds tiniest chip in the passenger side piano black strip on the dash. Just spent $82 for the carbon fiber strip so now it'll cover that, AND look way better. Super pumped for it to be here in a few weeks

Anyone have any leads on a kit for the updated ID8 interior trim? I've looked at some images and it doesn't look like the current kit would fit.

I personally prefer gloss.. if you like matte, you can go OEM.

They are all super similar. "Theirs" I'm assuming is from a trusted supplier that passes their quality check.

A few of us have ordered this kit and I don't think anyone has had any complaints. Mine looks great after a year.

Very happy with this kit, it protects the piano black (if that's what you got) while looking way better. You can't go wrong.

Anyone do the carbon over lay on interior of 2023 ? Any different ? I am amazed how nice these installs look. I had Matte on a 2020 240 and loved it. Just looking for updates here.

I just installed mine. I only ordered the console/shifter kit, since I didn't want to cover up the illuminated M trim. Easy install, good quality, fits great. Ordered 1/3, received 1/13.

I am not sure if the surround changed for MY23's. I'm sure someone can confirm

The shifter surround and cupholder surround is exactly the same for ID7 and ID8.

Ordered the id8 kit from provided link was a tad worried as it was 1 day from auto refund but it seems to be shipping now. Love the cf look.

Items came packaged very well. It's absolutely real carbon fiber. Very thin and super light.

Parts looked great. No flaws that I could see. Installation was super easy. They provided 2 rolls of "3m" tape

Test fits were perfect.

First things first make sure to clean the parts that you will be sticking too as well as the back side of the carbon fiber. I used some alcohol wipes.

Only tool required is a pair of scissors to cut the tape.

I was by myself so I only took one video showing how I installed the item balancing the camera and staying out of the way was super difficult. Starting the tape allows you to hold the carbon trim in place and apply a little pressure you can get the fitment you want. You'll see what I mean in the pictures below.

My 2023 has the M colors on the trim piece on the dash over the glove box. It kinda of looks like carbon fiber. I don’t want to cover that piece. I like the M colors.

1) Do you think the matte pieces for the shifter console trim and for the cover door over the wireless charger would match well with that existing trim piece over the glove box (the M colored one)?

2) does the shifter trim piece fit snug? I’d be afraid it wouldn’t sit flush and that it would raised up a bit?

I have the m performance lighting and recently did the cf surrounds for shifter, and the charger cover (ID8). It looks really good together wouldn't sweat it. If anything the reflection off the carbon can sometimes catch your peripherals and be a bit odd to me anyway.
