Agreed, they’re often transformative to handling and feel of the car. If you’re sensitive to those aspects nothing else compares. I pestered my P-car dealer to no end when we first got our Cayenne, it just wasn’t tracking calmly at 70 mph and above. After numerous tire balancing and wheel alignment excercises it become acceptable. A year later I put Michelins on it and pure bliss happened . I had similar experiences with a few M cars, not as night and day as the Cayenne but eye opening.

Yokohama can make some very good tires. They have great entries in the extreme performance categories. PS4S is old at this point, it's not out of the question that these are better than PS4S in terms of performance anyway.

Conti fan boy!

Bordering on ban worthy offensiveness.

P.S. You can also see the wimpy floating caliper.
If that is the case 2000K out of the box for new tires, 4K for online, another 1K for pads, 400 for end links and camber plates and spacers. So it handles well. Then at this point it better not understeer like the old one.

Gotta say that side profile is looking nice! With more paint color options and all of the M Performance bits available for a price. This next gen is looking like it could be a winner.

Will the rear spoiler have Monza and Nurburgring settings?!! 😁

Damn this car looks good. I bet it's going to handle beastly as well. It's been awhile since I've been excited for release from BMW.

The “Auto-Hold” feature is performed by the rear EPB actuators.

The rear dual-caliper photo above is from a G20 EPB aftermarket kit.

No it is not. Auto-Hold uses the DSC pump to hold pressure on the service brakes. The EPB actuators enter a Stand-By State and will switch over if the vehicle leaves Ready/Drive State.

For realz.. 🙌

They apparently feel that the target demographic for this vehicle is the midlife crisis crowd or those young at heart.. Cause I can't imagine many 20 somethings have the resources to obtain one of these vehicles..

I just hope that shit is not standard or else l'll park my car in the hood and get the wing stolen in a few hours.. Good riddance ✌🏻

I'm sure people said the same thing about the E36 LTW when it came out. And look at how many people are putting replicas of that wing on their cars. I'd reserve judgment till we see the final product.

Strongly doubt the wing is standard. This car is dressed up in the M performance catalogue. That said, I like the wing and the wheels on this car. I bet it’s beefy and aggressive enough to carry that wing as well or better than the E36 lightweight. We shall see once it’s on uncovered but as it looks here on this type of car, I like it. Would I like on a 7 series? Eh…no.

Can you provide the OEM document that explains this, please? It is not what I got.

Yeah with the right mods, that wing could work nicely for the car.

If you like it, I'm not judging, I don't derive pleasure from making anyone feel bad but just know that if you're pushing over 40 and you hop out a car with a big ass wing on the trunk and you're not at a racetrack, people will make assumptions like; "Is that his kid's car?"

Don't blame me, blame society.

I’d say it depends on the car, no one question it on the 911 Turbo through history. On a base family sedan it’s a different story. The car need to look like a serious high quality sports car everywhere to carry it without being tacky. So we’ll have to wait and see.

Agreed. A Porsche is different, that model screams money and the spoiler is somewhat functional, so it gets a pass..

Same as when you hear a Lambo or Ferrari making a lot of noise and kicking up dust, no one assumes it's some tacked-on noise maker, you just know it's the nature of the beast, specifically a bull or prancing horse.

BMWs, even the M models, just doesn't ring the same bell IMHO. I mean, it can rock a spoiler but nothing excessive like it's trying too hard to be something it's not.
