Now that I'm older it's harder for me to justify but when I was in my late 20s I bought dumb cars too. My 25th birthday present to myself was an absolutely loaded S197 Mustang GT. Not quite as crazy as the M2C but not that far off either. |

Sure, except I drive way better at 47 than I did at 26.

34 here. Have had quite a few M cars in my 20s and then stepped into Porsche GT3 territory with a 992 GT3 set to be delivered in November. I do intend to get an M2 for more of a daily vehicle.

41. Have had lots of cars on the way starting with a Nissan 200SX S15 when i was 22 and ending up with OG M2, with 335i E92 M3 and F80 M3 in between. Will either go an M4 manual or M2 Manual (likely M2) and probably wont sell that car and just add cars from there. also have a Cayman GT4 on order which is why i am leaning more towards M4 unless the M2 is very differentiated driving experience. One thing i loved about the OG is how raw and engaging it felt to every other ///M at the time

SDE 200k New Grad One of my friends is 20 and has a g80 m3c xdrive. SDE too. Another one of my friends (21) is considering a m5, another friend (19) an i4 m50. We’re all in the big tech workforce btw. I like to think that we’re the new targeted demographic (Gen Z), the amount of posts here showing more mature people getting into Ms seems skewed since this is an old platform for sure, not many young people use forums. Our new Gen is honestly the new silent generation, we exist on discord, Reddit, and Instagram… You kinda don’t realize it yet but we are populating big tech and making the big bucks. I predict that’s why the new g80s are so polarizing… to cater to the new Gen of consumers. Like me. Those 18 yr olds though, that’s daddy’s money. I bet it sucks to work at BMW M today. They give them these bloated cars which seem to be aesthetically designed to look like mutant rejects and the poor bastards at the M engineering team are suppose to give these steaming piles the M treatment. All things considered, it's commendable what they've been able to do with such a platform like the G80/2. I just can't help but think how many more cars they'd be selling if they weren't so ugly, so fat and so huge. It's so depressing. |

I mean think about it we are the generation that grew up with IPhones, CarPlay, and dct cars. Manuals are fun, but refined speed and quicker lap times is even more fun. Besides I think it's better to market cars to a more affluent gen z. Get a fast car while you're young we always say. |
