That's awesome! What's the advantage of the catback one? More sound? I currently have the axel back and wish it were a touch louder at times. Any idea the cost of the rest of the piping?

So the milltek catback will fit US spec cars? I can only find the catback that's say opf only which obviously I don't have.

In theory. The piping from milltek is true to size, not pancaked or crimped piping from oem. It “should” flow better. As far as sound and performance goes,so far I can not tell the difference lol - I would highly recommend a Downpipe which will increase both sound and performance significantly. Paired with the milltek exhaust it sounds great!

Pricing I do not know, they sent me these for free to help out.

Yes sir! Keep in mind I just had this installed a few hours ago and confirmed fitment for them lol - So they haven’t updated the website yet

Edit: I just spoke to Milltek,This is what they said “We will be doing a US spec model listing for the M240i today/tomorrow all being well,so we will let you know when it goes live”

Thanks for the info! If it's a fairly inexpensive part and easy to install, I might give it a shot before going the downpipe route. By the way, which downpipe do you have?

It’s easy to install,I can’t see it being expensive. But the sound won’t increase as much as you want it imo. Like you said, try it then get the Downpipe lol

I went with the AA catted Downpipe to avoid the check engine light. Then sold my OEM one for $1000 which paid for most of the new one 👍🏻

Wow that's awesome that you were able to sell the stock one for about what you paid for the AA one. Do you ever feel like it is too loud?

Yeah, they are currently being bought for $900 all day long. Market fluctuates obviously, but as of today. $900 is easy to get.

I think it sounds deep and throaty, sometimes I wish it was a bit louder tbh lol! But In reality,it’s damn near perfect. I’m going to swap a catless on soon to see the difference. They are dirt cheap,so I’ll give it a shot and report back!

I also disconnected the valve in the back. So it’s always open

Check out the CG precision ds-1 200 cell downpipe. It was $900 and is good quality but it was only meant to fit 340i but it fit perfect on my g42 m240.

That's crazy and makes it tough not to want to try an aftermarket dp! I'll bet it sounds awesome and probably exactly what I want. However I think I'll go the conservative route and start with the catback option and then take it from there. Will be interested to hear your feedback on the catless system!

Yeah,It didn’t make sense for me to keep the OEM one. This will still pass emissions, sounds better and makes more power. But I’ll report back for sure once the new one is on.

@RW-M240 - Milltek just got back to me and said they are offering 10% off msrp if bought within the month. They might offer it on the pipes as well ^

“We just had confirmation that the 1st batch of US specific parts will be sold through our US office Milltek Corp, they will have info on part numbers and prices to provide customers with soon.

If you update the forum post with the info to get in touch with the team at Milltek Corp (info@milltekcorp.com) with regards to the M240i, if they place an order within the month they will get 10% off the listed MSRP”

They gave me the part number you need. This is for anyone who already HAS the axle back and wants the rest of the piping.

Part number SSX1237

Great thank you! So you are getting it straight from miiltek? The reason I ask is that I bought my exhaust from AutoID in the UK and i wonder if i should be hitting them up about this.

No problem! Good question,I bought mine from AutoID as well. You can probably order it from Jack or milltek directly. Also to note, they said they are giving 10% off this month. I would email milltek corp with the email I posted first and see if you are eligible for the discount

Milltek’s website says an ECU reprogram is needed when a downpipe is added. Are you stock? And if no ECU upgrade are you feeling more power in daily driving with no negative issues? I just bought the milltek exhaust but am on the fence with the downpipe. I plan to use a JB4 but no ECU tune, and I want to avoid drone while cruising. Thanks!

What are the odds that Dinan is sourcing exhaust parts from Flowmaster, seeing as they are both under the Driven Performance Brands umbrella?
