One week from today... (G87 M2 embargo ends this Sunday, April 2nd)

I am not really a fan of Matt’s so I tend take what he has to say with a grain of salt. He owns an E46 M3 from EAG and is a known Porsche enthusiast as well. His custom order 718 Boxster Spyder was on the ship that caught fire and eventually sank. His order clearly had to be rebuilt. He yanked the new engine and replaced it with a 4.5L DeMan engine. He also has a Lamborghini Countach that is said to be a shit show. I have no clue what else he owns, but I am sure that is not it.

I know far more than I should, but I am a regular listener of Spike’s Car Radio which Matt is an occasional guest on.

Sheesh they absolutely demolished it in that video. I mean everyones entitled to their own opinions , & there will be plenty of reviews who will love the look of the new M2.

I do agree somewhat on the rear end, it’s my least favorite angle by far. Side profile is just menacing & front end while not the most cohesive design .. I really dig it.

Add some CF air inlets, and that’ll be the perfect touch.

Waiting here like patience on a monument for the press embargo to lift

Yeah I know a good bit as well. I do my diligence on car reviewers. I'm mostly in agreement about the rear but not even alluding to having a good time or anything nice to say, if even a "stay tuned" with a halfway smiling face is what most surprises me.

It doesn't sound like he liked it that much.

They essentially bashed every model other than the G01 X3 and G30 5-Series. They sounded fairly anti-BMW to me.

They both liked the f87. But did agree the CS was overpriced for what it is. But being a rare bmw you won't lose much money on it. They absolutely trashed the G80.

They also both liked the g42 230i more than the 240xi citing the lower weight making it more tossable and fun. They did a whole review on both cars

They definitely aren't wrong about it looking best in black (at least in pictures) but I cannot bring myself to own a black car and trying to keep it looking clean as a daily.

curious to hear channels that bought the last m2. straight pipes is ok... but they are also never really say anything negative about any car they drive. joe achilles did buy the last M2, but is a complete shill for anything bmw related and they can do no wrong

i think james from throttle house had an OG M2. Chris Harris had a comp and cs. Smoking Tire and SavageGeese usually don't hold back either.
